Remember 1 vs. 100 on Xbox 360? Do you continue to wonder why it was so short-lived? Well, the interactive game show might be about to make a comeback of sorts. During an interview with , Xbox head Phil Spencer said "we should do it again" when discussing 1 vs. 100.

"You'll see something from us in that space because I think it just should happen," Spencer added. The trouble is, it won't be as simple as Xbox bringing back 1 vs. 100 for a long-ov♕erdue season three. Microsoft doesn't own the rights to the name so that ⛄can't happen.

Those unfamiliar with the name won't have much learning to do. Everything you need to know about 1 vs. 100 is in the title. One player would get to be "The One" ✱with another 100 making up "The Mob." An audience of thousands made up what was known as "The Crowd" and could participate by answering questions. Prizes were up for grabs each week that ran the gamut of Xbox Live currency to free downloada🔯ble games. The freebie ran for two-seasons roughly a decade ago, but it hasn't been forgotten.

In the absence of 1 vs. 100, other similar games have spawned. The most notable of these is HQ Trivia, a free mobile app that lets players compete for daily prizes by answering irreverent questions. What many people playing HQ Trivia (and other live game show option🔯s) not have known is that the genre spun off from Microsoft's game.

1 vs. 100 was a video game adaptation of a . Originally aired on NBC fಌrom 2006 until 2008, the popularity of the Xboಞx Live game -and reruns on Game Show Network-, resulted in a third season. This was also short-lived.

As for something very similar to what Xbox's take on 1 vs. 100 was, it seems as if that is already on Spencer's radar. We would certainly be keen for it to happen and would most definitely be there for it. One of our fondest memories of the 360's heyday, of which there are a lot, is g♊athering around it with friends each evening, hoping we would be picked to be a part of The Mob or, even better, The One. A chance to revisit that feeling would be most welcome.
