As a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:supernatural mystery, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Medium throws a mountain of questions at the player that they, for the most part, are able to find answers to by the end of the game. Queries about Marianne's past, the nature of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Maw and other monsters, as well as who Sadness really is are all answered 🐷in time. Of course, not everything in the game is e൲xplained so well.
By the climax of the game and Marianne's final choice, most major story eleme𓂃nts have been closed. But some minor elements and story beats are simply left up to the player's interpretation of events. This is the case with most mysteries, but many fans still need answers.
10 What Is💯 The Significance of The Cat Statues?
Shortly after Marianne arrives at Niwa, she discovers that she can use mirrors scattered around the resort to freely move between the material and spirit worlds. She doesn't have to rely on the randomness of the split-screen events. To do this, she uses the power of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:two cat statues -- one found𝄹 in the material world and one 🌱in the real world.
However, the significance of these statues is never explained to the player. While it is clear that the꧟y are somewhat important as they are one of the onꦚly items in the game that has the same design in both worlds, that is about all the information given on them.
9 Hꦕow Did Jack Die? 🍷
In the opening of the game, Marianne is forced to put the spirit of her adoptive father, Jack, to rest following his death shortly before the events of the game. However, the actual 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cause of his death is never explicitly mentioned.
There a♕re several clues that he may have been sick as his calendar mentions him needing to have a biopsy. He also has multiple doctor's appointments scheduled, but the actual cause of this illness or what the illness might be is never mentioned.
8 🧸 Whose Car Is Outside Niwa?
Once the player reaches Niwa, they are able to interact with a derelict car off to the left-hand side of the car park that has both a useful item. It also contains one of Francis' postcards to collect. While it is, at first,ඣ expected that the car belongs to Francis, only known as 'F' until muꦰch later, this might not be the case.
It is later revealed that Thomas and Francis both stayed on Niwa's grounds. So the car could have belonged to either one of them. Of course, it al🌌so could have belonge🌞d to Henry, Richard, or any one of the Niwa Massacre victims, as well.
7 𒐪 How Can Maw Possess People?
Maw is, at first, revealed to be some sort of spirit monster that wants to wear Marianne like a skin s🐼uit. But it is later revealed that they have done this to many other people and animals before in order to survive.
The biggest mystery, however, is how itꦦ can do this in the first place. Neither Hound nor Childeater seems to have the same ability while the only other person who has a somewhat similar power is Thomas even if the way it works is significantly different.
6 🔯 Why Does Marianne Look Different Iཧn The Spirit World?
There seem to be two main and distinct designs to the beings in the spirit world. The more innocuous design -- most notably seen with Sadness, young Richard, and young Henry -- are humanoid with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:some degradation on their bodies. Stil𒈔l, all of them wear a porcelain mask of some kind.
The other is a more monstrous look that Maw, Hound, and Childeater all possess. While Spirit Thomas seems to be a variation on the first design, minus the mask, Marianne's is distinctly different from any other in the game. So fa♑r, there is no reason given as to why.
5 W♛hat Is Spirit Thomas💯?
Speaking of spiritual beings, there is no explanation given as to what exactly Spirit Thomas is in comparison to other beings. The best guess is that he is a fragment of Thomas' spirit, broken off by his own powers, 🦩that allows him to enter the minds of other people and sever their spirits from their bodies.
However, he is distinctly different from similar beings like the monsters and Sadne♌ss. The particular difference lies in how much spiritual power he has inside other people's minds. It follows that he must be something else entirely.
4 Why Are There So Few Monsters? ൩
In the final minutes of the game, players can find a note from Thomas that speculates on the origins of the monsters. In this note, it is claimed then later confirmed by Lilianne that the monstersꦅ are created when someone goes through a traumatic event and their spirit splits into separate entities. With this in mind, why are there so few monsters in The Medium?
The origin of Maw, Hound, and Childeater are covered well enough by the game. But several other𒉰 characters should, in theory, have had monsters of their own such as the abused ballerina or even Thomas himself.
3 What Is Sadness? ꧟
In the beginning, Marianne (and, by proxy, the player) is led to believe that Sadness is the spirit of a child who was killed in the Niwa Massacre. Towards the end of the game, it is revealed that she is the spirit of Lily though thᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚis is also not the whole story.
It turns out that she is only a small fragment of Lily sent to guide Marianne through her past. While she has the same design as all other dead spirits, Lilianne is still alive. This begs the question of w🐓hat exactly she is and why she looks the same as every other dead spirit.
2 How Did ⭕Francis' Dog Survive?
Once the forest area opens up to Marianne, the players discovers the corpses of several deer that have been rotted from the inside. They're the victims of Maw as they tried to survive outside of its host's body. One animal that players can find still alive is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Francis' dog who leads them to Francis' corpse be🦩fore being a꧙ttacked by Maw.
Francis was clearly killed by Maw, so the fact that his dog managed to survive even though Maw sucked his master dry is a little unbelievable. That is unless there is someth♏ing about dogs that makes them immune to possession.
1 🀅 How Did The Story End? ཧ
The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:biggest question at the end of The Medium involves Marianne's choice of how she saves the world from Maw. I💞n both of her options, neither of which the player can choose, Maw will be unable to leave Niwa. That means that🍎 it will eventually starve to death.
But how Marianne goes about this is left wide open with no clear explanation. The screen fades to black before the player sees what she chose to do. Perhaps Bloober Team has something up t🌠heir sleeves for the future.
