Vanillaware's upcoming strategy RPG 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim might just be the studio's most divisive game. A major departure from the typically action-heavy sidescrolling games of its past, th꧃is latest venture for the developers embraces something completely different and relatively niche. Strategy games are already not that popular and tactical strategy games are a niche within a niche.
Still, Japanese reception to the game upon its release last year was majorly positive and♒ Sega's localization staff is even saying how surprised it is with the end result. There's likely a very solid game in here, even if look🍌s can be deceiving. That's where this newest trailer comes in.
If you're still unsure about what 13 Sentinels is all about, Sega has uploaded a 19-minute trailer that takes a look at basically every aspect of the game. While marketing for this title hasn't really focused on the battle system, there's a pretty good look at what you'll be engaging with when entering a fight (you can see it around 12 minutes into🌜 the trailer).
I'm still not 100% convinced this is something I would enjoy, but I do love Vanillaware's exquisite art direction. The studio has always been known for creating beautiful games and 13 Sentinels is no exception. You could say🦋 it is misleading to not focus more on the combat mechanics, but those character sprites and backgrounds are♏ so lavishly detailed.
Still, this is a big change for the studio and fans might be put off. It's always strange trying something outside of your wheelhouse, but 13 Sentinels could open a whole new world to you. There are a ton of great tactical RPGs out there, namely Valkyria Chronicles. Fire Emblem even falls into that category and is now one of 𝐆Nint🥃endo's most popular franchises.
Ultimately, the decision to t༒ry the game is up to you. Currently scheduled for a September release on PS4, it doesn't seem like Atlus has any plans for ports to different platforms. That is a bit of a shame, but we're talking about a game so niche that even genre fans may not have heard of it. If it does become successful, who knows?
