The best time of year for any horror-lover is almost upon us and as always, tha🤡t calls for a celebration. If, thanks to the pandemic, you're one of the many people who will be forced to cancel your usual Halloween plans that entail gathering large groups of humans together, now is the perfect chance for you to sink your fake vampire teeth into some juicy horror games instead.
Not that any of us horror nerds needed a global pandemic to convince us to do that i💛n the first place, though.
Luckily for those of us spending Halloween 2020 a little more lonely than usual, there is a really great lineup of horror games on October's horizon that will creep you company. You know, just to make you🥂 feel that much less comfortable with being alone.
Here are five of our top picks of spooktastic titles c༺oming in October 2020.
Remothered: Broken Porcelain
The sequel to 2017's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Remothered: Tormented Fathers, Broken Porcelain will be landing on October 13, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It's been a bit of a rocky road to its release, after a few coronavirus-induced setbacks and a two-month delay. But now the game is actually being released a 168♍澳洲幸运5开奖网:week ahead of its (second) intended schedule - sꦅomething you don't hear of too often, especially in🎶 2020.
Broken Porcelain sees you play as Jen, who was recently expelled from all-girls boarding school Flemmington Girls' Institute and subsequently taken in as a maid at the ominous Ashmann Inn. But the latter establishment holds some dark and disturbing secrets꧑, of course, so that means it's time for Jen and her newly-acquired friend and fellow maid Linn to GTFO.
It won't be that easy, though, so you can expect a whole lot of𓆏 awful stuff to go down along the way. Judging by the trailers we've seen so far, the game certainly promises a truly disturbing experience that wil𒐪l apparently require as well as reflex reactions to get out of sticky situations.
Amnesia: Rebirth
There is, of co𝔉urse, ♑a ton of hype around the fact that a brand new Amnesia game is almost here, set to land on PlayStation 4 and PC on October 20.
Frictional Games - the creators of the iconically terrifying Amnesia: The Dark Descent - is back as the sole developer for Re💖birth, after having shared the role with The Chinese Room and Blitworks for the second game, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. It seems Rebirth will be harkening back to the roots of the series, which is mighty fitting as 2020 marks the 🙈10th anniversary of The Dark Descent's release.
In🐈 Rebirth, you'll play as Tasi Trianon who wakes up deep in the Algerian desert with a touch of - you guessed it - amnesia. You'll need to retrace your step🍌s in order to regain the fragmented memories of your past, but it looks like doing so will entail some serious spooks, true to the classic Amnesia style. A Song Of Horror
Yes, this game has been out for a hot minut🐟e already, but only on PC. On October 29, however, console players will finally ge✱t to taste the palpable terror of Protocol Games' episodic survival horror, too.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Song of Horror adopts a third-person, fixed camera kinda horror that any fan of classic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil ga🃏mes will no doubt appreciate. The game centers around the mysterious disappearance of Sebastian P. Husher and his family which sets off an involving "a nameless, dark entity known only as The Presence." The cool part is that The Presence is actually controlled by an advanced AI that adapts to your decisions and gameplay, meaning each playthrough will likely be completely unique.

Little Hope
Another episodic horror that you've no doubt heard about by now is The Dark Pictures Anthology. The first episode - 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Man of Medan - came out more than a 𓄧year ago already, so it's high t🍬ime that the second installment - Little Hope - hit the scene too. It'll do so on October 20 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Unfortunately, Man of Medan received some pretty mixed reviews, but so far it seems Little Hope has a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:far more compelling story for us to get excited over. Four students get stranded in a ghost town called Little Hope, which has a twisted history of witch-hunting to its name. Sounds𝔍 inviting!
The Signifier
To round our humble list off on a particularly interesting note, we have Raw Fury's indie title The Signifier, set to release on October 15 for PS4, Xbox Oꩵne, and PC.
This one's intriguing because it's being described as a that "blends investigation, experimental psychology, and artificial intelli🌠gence," more so than a horror game per se. But whatever y🅰ou want to call it, the footage of the game we've seen so far undoubtedly gives off an air of scares that gets our horror senses going wild.
At the very least, its uniq🦩uene🦩ss is something that we will welcome with open arms, and it might provide some solace from the kind of heart-pounding terror induced by the other games on this list.
