Virtual Reality is all the rage right now, and every company is constantly trying to create a brand new game within popular genres to create something truly unique that will offer up a surreal exper🧸ience.
Some🍎thing that is very popular right now is the superhero genre, and putting the gamer in the shoes of their favori🥂te comic-book characters is something that everyone wishes to do.
Young gamers especially dream of potentially becoming a superhero one day and being able to do that through VR would be a great way of making that happen, and within this article, we will rank five superhero VR gam🗹esꦐ we want, and five we don't.
10 We Want: Ha🌞wkeye ♏
Hawkeye is a character that has been vastly underrated throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but despite not always ༺being featured heavily he has always been a popular character in The Avengers movies.
With his own television show coming Disney+, there is going to be a🐭 lot more of a focus on🔜 this character, which is why now would be a great time to put together an interesting VR video game.
Giving gamers the chance to arm up with his trademark bow and arrow💮 to take down different enemies. Perhaps telling a storౠy from between several movies where he doesn't appear, there is a great chance to make a fun game here.
9 We Don't Want: Incredible H🔯ulk
There is no doubt that the Incredible Hulk is a very popular superhero and one that has been 🍌slightly overlooked for a long time, not getting his own MCU movie, b🍸ut that doesn't mean people are clamoring for a virtual reality game.
Hulk is a very tough character to make engaging on its own (although Marvel might have cracked that in Avengers: End Game by having the big guy talk), which is why it is ไunlikely anyone is going to take a risk on developing this game.
On top of that, Hulk doesn't really provide anything unique that oth𓄧er characters can provide, as it is impossible to convey his strength and size properly through the fun💖ctions of VR.
8 We Want: Spider-Man 𓃲
Granted, we have actually had a Spider-Man virtual reality game, called Spider-Man Far From Home: Virtual Reality, th♓e game itself wasn't brilliant, with few people praising the actual gameplay orౠ graphics.
However,𝕴 the game was heavily praised for the sensation of web-slinging, which is something that everyone wants to experience, and if that could be attached into an interesting game then it could be a major hit.
If an engaging story is created that is more th🀅an simply swinging around, perhaps including some fights or some interactions with other ♍heroes, then a great game can be created.
7 We Don't Want: Captain America 𒁃 🥃
While he might be one of the most popular superheroes, which would seemingly make him a perfect c💟hoice for a virtual reality game, the fac𒊎t is there is very little about Captain America that would feel exciting in a virtual reality world.
With the inability to fly or run at fast speeds and no powers thꦦat would give gamers a unique sensation, it is hard to see what the appeal would be to having a game in this style for him.
Of course, if it was done as an Avengers game where multiple characters could be played, then that would be a ༺unique way of introducing him.
6 We Want: The 🐻Incredibles
Speaking of having multiple characters within one video game, why not take the popular Pixar characters from The Incredibles and turn it♏ into the ultimate family adventure within a virtual reality world?
Imagine having something coming to attack your face but being able to bust out a force shiღeld, like Violet can, or have the feeling of running on water as ꦚDash, the options are endless for this.
Not only would it attract a huge audience given that The Incredibles is such as a popular franchise for Pixar, but it woul♍d also work very well in this world.
5 ✤ We Don't Want: Dr Strange
Something that is well known about virtual reality games is that the graphics are o🏅ften sacrificed in order to provide the technology needed to make things feel as realistic as possible.
This is why Dr. Strange wouldn't be a great pick (for now), as the game would need to have visuals on point in order to truly enhance the experience 🐻and showcase the incredibleꦆ magic that he is able to conjure up or flick around the cape that he is so famous for.
On top of that, Dr. Strange isn🌊't one of the most popular characters to pick from, and therefore it would be a smarter choice to pick a more well-known name to get things going.
4 We 🌠Want: The Joker
While this is technically a villain, this is certainly a game that people would want to play, with the popular Batman villain being one of the most beloved characters in the history of superhero🐼es.
This could easily be presented in a darker tone and be geared more towards adults, as a slight horror style game, eit꧋her being presented in a realistic manner like the newest🤡 film, or in a comic style like in previous games such as the Arkham series.
Being able to go around and cause carnage in that world would be something that is a lot of fun, with the d💜arkness being mixed with vibrant and wacky colors m✤aking for a great backdrop to a game.
3 🔯 We Don't Want: Batmaওn
While we might want to see a game created for the 🍨Joker, we do not want to see one for Batman,♔ as we have actually already had one of these and unfortunately it wasn't the greatest of games.
Batman just doe🌺sn't scream out for a virtual reality environment, mainly because his main ability is through gadgets, which are almost impossible to make feel realistic within a vid﷽eo game.
While it could be interesting with the use of the grapple and som🎉e shocks and surprises due to the dark nature of Batman🥀 games, it just isn't something we need right now.
2 We Want: Th𒁃or
Firstly, Thor can fly, and travel between worlds, w𓆉hich are sensations that would work amazingly in a virtual reality world, providing gamers with a unique feeling that they can't get without virtual reality.
That is the key to any successful virtual reality game, having something to make the gamer really feel like they're doin☂g something they can't normally do in real life, and flying ticks that box.
If the feeling of summoning lightni🌄ng can be added, perhaps through vibrations, then this really could be a very special video game.
1 We Don't Want: A❀quaman
When video games get to the point where they can add 4D elements (which will certainly happen) then an Aquam☂an game really isn't so💟mething that will work at the moment, even though now is the perfect time to strike on this property.
While we have seen virtual reality games underwater, encountering sharks as the mai💛n selling point to spook the person playing the game, a game about Aquaman wouldn't really offer that.
If we get to♔ a point where some water splashes could ever happen, like in a 4D cinema, then an Aquaman video game would b❀e perfect.
