The game is still in its alpha phase, so some of 🅠the small mechanics may change, but some advice is evergreen. The horde is coming. Will you be p🍒repared?

6 That🥂 Horde Is Coming Whether You Want It To Or Not

One of the central mechanics of 7 Days to Die is its weekly cycle. Vendors restock their wares twice a we🔯ek, and airdrops arrive with clockwo🉐rk regularity. This cycle encourages routine and preparation, something that you’ll need desperately to survive on whatever map you choose.

Unfortunately, not every predictable event is friendly𒊎, especially the horde of zombies that rush you on the seventh night underneath a blood moon. You can prepare as much as you want and keep attention off of yourself, but in the end, there is nothing you can do to stop this from happening unless you change the settings or use a mod. It’s what the grind of your workweek is leading up to except, instead of letting loose on the dancefloor or cozying up with a movie, you’ll be fighting wave after wave of zombies on a makeshift fort of your devising. Probably not the best way to cap off the week, but who are we to judge?

5 Land Claim Blocks Are Your Friend ꦗ 🎃

After your dear friend the Companion Cube from Portal, the land claim block may be one of the most useful 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cube-shaped items in games. While you won&rsq𝓡uo;t suffer emotional꧋ trauma after the game forces you to throw it in a fire, the land claim block will make your home a bit safer.

Instead of building your base early on in the game, it’s a lot easier to set up shop in one of the abandoned points of interest on your map, like an abandoned house or store. Unfortunately, many of these areas spawn zombies and will keep doing so even after you’ve moved in. The land claim block will stop these unruly roommates from coming back day after day, allowing you to focus on other, more important tasks. It 🐲also a♈llows you to pick up and move large machinery, like workstations, if they’re in the area. While you probably won’t form an emotional bond with it, this block can make the early game a lot easier while you get your bearings.

4 Zo๊mbies Aren’t The Only Danger

7 Days to Die is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:zombie survival game, but oftentimes the survival aspect takes precedent over the zombie one. Zombies are dangerous, but that doesn’t mean you can ignore the other things that might kill you. In certain maps, it’s easy to get frostbite without the proper precautions, and in oಞthers, heatstroke is just as likely. If you eat a bad sandwich, you can easily get dysentery, which anyone who’s played The Oregon Trail can tell you is bad news. You can die if you’re not hydrated, and even get gored to death by a boar.

Instead of focusing only on zombies, you should be aware of all of these dangers and account for them to🐼o. Sure, you might be able to find an AK 47 in the first week or two if you try hard enough, but if you🥀 die because you haven’t gathered enough food, what’s the point?

3 Don’t Stay Out Too Late ಞ

This isn’t just your mom’s advice for you when you first got your driver's license. Zombies in 7 Days to Die are largely nocturnal. Sure, you’ll find them awake in some locations, and they are still a danger when the sun is out. But at night (past 10:00) is when they truly come alive. When the sun goes down, the undead become significantly more powerful.

Early on in the game, then, it’s a good idea to find a safe place to weather the night away. Since you don’t have to sleep, you can spend your time crafting or leveling up your gear. Once you’ve reached a place where you feel ok venturing out, it’s fine to take that risk. But youℱ should wait until you have the experience to handle it safely. Like driving at night.

2 Pay Attention To Heat ♎ꦺ

Heat means more than one thing in 7 Days ꦓto Die, and while you should pay attention to the temperature, like most survival games, your heat actually indicates how much of a racket you’re causing. Generate enough heat in one area, and you’ll get hit with a screamer, a special zombie that, if you’re not quick about it, will start spawning zombies that will keep you from getting stuff done. If you’re prepared, you should be able to beat them back, but it will impede your efforts to prepare for the next blood moon.

Using guns, explosives, and heavy machinery will a🙈ll increase heat, but so will anything with flames, like campfires and torches. Breaking blocks and mining will also catch the ear of a wayward screamer. Use these items sparingly to minimize heat, or try traveling to different areas to use heavy machinery. If you crouch while getting resources, it lessens heat gained, because apparently, it’s physically possible to mine stealthily.

1 Difficu🙈lty📖 Scales With Your Level

A player faces down a horde of zombies in 7 Days To Die.

In most games with RPG elements, your first objective is to level up. F☂ast. More levels mean a greater chance of ღsurvival. But in 7 Ways to Die, the difficulty setting is a bit more nuanced than that. Sure, more perks will make your character better at making eggs or crushing zombie skulls, but the zombies will also become more durable, and more numerous.

If you’re new to the game, then, you probably shouldn’t go racing off to get as many levels as quickly as you possibly can. That will get you killed before you have time to master the rest of the game’s mechanics and give you less time to figure out what skills you actually want. Taking your time to focus on resource gathering in the first few levels will help you survive the first horde more effectively, and let you plan for next week’s melee. T𝕴he game has no ending until you die, so there’s no rush at this point.
