Itch.io's Bဣundle for Racial Justice and Equality has ended its fundraising drive with over $8.1 million raised towards Black Lives Matters.
It’s finally over. This incredible run from Itch.io was one of the biggest fundraising💧 efforts we’d ever seen in gaming and one that is going to a very worthy cause🥃.
For the past week, Itch.io has been raising funds for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund by offering a bundle unlike any other. This bundle started off with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:742 items that included not just famous indie games like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Night in the Woods, Minit, A Short Hike, and Quadrilateral Cowboy, b🍷ut also pen-and-paper RPG sourcebooks, soundtracks, and basically anything else that Itch.io could get their hands on.
The total value of this bundle started at over $5,700. And it was being sold for a minimum donation of just $5. However, that’s just 🍨where the bundle started. Developers from around the world kept adding their games to the bundle so that by the end it had ballooned to 1,704 items with a total value of $9,357.
Within the first few days, Itch.io had raised $2 million. By Saturday, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:they’d hit their 🔴goal ဣof raising $5 million. Today, Itch.io’s Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality has raised . The average donation was just over $10, with at least one person donating $5,000, which is still a good deal considering the total vꦡalue of the bundle.
"We live in a time of racial injustice, inequality, and police brutality against black people. We hope that everyone takes a stand in any way that they can,” Itch.io wrote on their bundle page. “If you’🃏re looking for more ways to help try here: .”
Note that the bundle is direct downloads from Itch.io൲ only and no Steam codes are being given. Make sure you create an Itch.io account so you can access your bundle later since even if you started playing now it’s doubtful you’ll get through all those games in a single lifetime.
