While we didn't get a release date for the game just yet, A Plague Tale: Requiem was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda joint showcase along with a healthy amount of gameplay, showcasing the game's stealth system, combat, and some of Hugo's new rat powers. The game will drop at some point later this year and will be available to download on Game Pass on the day of launch, although the developers didn't provide a specific release date.
In the trailer, we see Hugo and Amicia defating soldiers in a variety of different locations, presumably in France, although some desert-y biomes suggest the duo could be traveling to different countries. It also showed off some new weaponry that Amicia will be able to use, including a crossbow, a sword, Hugo's rat powers, and her trusty rock sling that was included in the first game.
Unfortunately, we didn't get much of an idea about what the game's plot actually is, although the game trailer's description states that Amicia and Hugo will "embark on a heartrending journey into a brutal, breathtaking world." The trailer itself is called the "End of Innocence" trailer, which suggest the pair will have to overcome some pretty gruelling challenges, although it's not exactly like the events of the first game were sweet and lovely.
While A Plague Tale: Requiem's appearance during the joint Xbox and Bethesda showcase is a nice surprise, it was tipped to appear after the game seemed to have leaked on the UK Xbox Store in March. A listing was found revealing the release date for June 17, and although the date was clearly wwrong, it did give us an indication that A Plague Tale: Requiem was going to be shown off pretty soon. Unfortunately, we don't know when the game will launch, but we'll likely learn more later this year.
A Plague Tale: Requiem was one of several exciting games shown off during the event, and other highlights included 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an extended look at Starfield and the announcement that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be🌱 available oꦺn Game Pass on the day of launch.
