The game follows the eponymous Florence Yeoh, a 25-year old as she meets and begins a relationship with Krish, a cellist she meets at the park. Players guide Floreꩲnce through her daily routine and follow her developing relationship with Krish. The story is divided in 20 chapters that are divided into six distinct acts that each represent a pe♉riod of Florence's life and growth. Players partake in a series of minigames that replicate Florence's daily activities, taking control of her thoughts and actions.
Though the actual gameplay is short - a single playthrough takes on average only half an hour - the succinct story has made quite an impact. Originally released in 2018 for iOS and Android devices, Florence holds several accolades, including honors from the New York Game Awards, D.I.C.E. Awards, Game Developers Cho🔜ice Awards, British Academy Games Awards, Webby Awards, and won the coveted "Best Mobile Game" award from The Game Awards the 🏅year it was released.
