Who is ready for some action? This is an odd qualifier for a game genre because most games have action in them, be it RPGs, shooters, etc. That’s a🐟ll to say this list is filled with a lot of unique takes that fall into the category.

Besides the ten on here without dates, there are two extra games that deserve to be mentioned with dates. Fight Crab, a game literally about crab battles, is launching on July 30 on Steam and supposedly sometime later this year on Switch. Then there is MindSeize, a Metroidvania, which released in February for PCs and is supposed to also launch for Swi🧔tch later this year. With that out of the way, let’s see what else is in store for this article🍎.

10 Bushiden

Bushiden was announced in 2018 and is set to launch this year on PC, PS4, and Switch. It is an action platformer with Metroidvania elements. Players assume💯 the role of a samurai, which isn’t a hero shown that much anymore. Ghost of Tsushima may bring this trait back.

Setting a Metroidvania with a samurai hero is also something not typically done, which gives Bushiden a bit of an edge. Usually, these types of games are gothic or futuristic in nature. Anyway, Bushiden looks neat is the point.

9 Dark🤡 Light

Dark Light was announced earlier this year and is also set to launch this year on PC and Switch. It too is an action platformer with Metroidvania elements. More so than Bushiden, Dark Light looks t꧙o have a darker, mor💯e horrific design to it.

It actually looks like a 2D version of Dead Space, from the creatures to the player’s suit. As of May 8, Dark Light entered Early Access onꩲ Steam, therefꦛore it can be checked out before its proper launch for those interested.

8 🐈 ✨ Flynn: Son of Crimson

Flynn: Son of Crimson was announced in 2017 and is set to launch this year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Guess what? It’s a Metroidvania as well, but it’s also different from the previous t𒅌wo.

It stars a young boy who is trying to harness the power of Crimson within himself. He’s also trying to figure out what his history is like as an orphan with mysterious powers. The bright, colorful pixels look like they have great animation. Humble Games is the💛 publisher and the company usually knows how to pick out the best indies.

7 ꦑ Just Die 🦄Already

Just Die Already was announced earlier this year and is also set to launch this year on PC. The debut trailer for it is great for those that remember Death Stranding. It is basic🔯ally a recreation of that only much zanier.

The game looks to be about as goofy as Goat Simulator, just with retirees serving as the main f𒁏ocus. It may not be much of a traditional game, but it🔯 will certainly get streamed by the community out there.

6 No More Heroes III 💝

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:No More Heroes III was announced in 2017 and is set to launch this year exclusively on Switch. It was sort of teased when the Switch was unveiled although that teaser could have been fo♔r last year’s spꩵinoff as well.

For those keeping track, the last pro𝓡per game launched for the Wii in 2010. Needless to say, fans have been waiting a long time to see Travis Touchdown’s crazy antics again in action.

5 🌌 Panzer Paladin

Panzer Paladin was announced in 2019 and is set to launch this year on PC and Switch. Tribute Games is developing this, who some might know from Mercenary Kings and Flinthook.

Next to Wayforward, they are also a company that excels at creating gorgeous modern pixel art and throwbacks to NES, with games with Panzer Paladin falling into the latter of the two. Players pilot a mech and go around levels similar to Kirby and can colꦜlect 𒁃weapons from enemies along the way.

4 🥃 Sakuna: Of 🎀Rice and Ruin

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin was announced in 2019 and is set to launch this year on PC, PS4, and Switch. I🌜t is an action game crossed with a farming simulator.

It falls in line then with m🍷ore modern ind✃ie hits like Stardew Valley, which itself is derived from Harvest Moon and Rune Factory. The big difference here is that Sakuna is set in the feudal era. Hey, look at that – another samurai game like Bushiden.

3 ꦅ ScourgeBringer

ScourgeBringer was announced earlier this year and is also set to launch this year on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. It is a co༒mbination of⛄ roguelikes and Metroidvanias.

The game actually hit Early Access on Steam back in February so, like Dark Light, fans can check it out on PC. The game stars Khyra, an explore🐻r fighting her way through machines in the hope🔜s of finding the light to save humanity.

2 🍃 Gods &amꦆp; Monsters

Gods & Monsters was announced in 2019 and is set to launch this ye🍎ar on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The release date for this mig﷽ht be revealed soon as Ubisoft is holding an event on July 12.

Gods & Monsters was pushed back from this past February, which did have a set date. Whether it still makes a 2020 release date is beyond anyone’s guess. As of right now, the only firm Ubisoft release for 2020 is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and even that doesn’t have a date.

1 ♊ Steel As𝓡sault

Steel Assault was announced in 2017 and is set to launch this year on PC. It looks like an action platformer from the NES era like Shatterhand mixed a little with Bionic Commando.

The big 💯reason the latter of the two comes to mind is the hero, Taro Takahashi, has a plasma-like whip. The plot also sounds familiar, as it features a resistance fighter going against an evil oppressive force.
