Activ🌠ision Blizzard just yanked all their games off of Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud-based gaming service.
About a week ago, Nvidia launched GeForce Now. It takes on Google Stadia in the emerging cloud-based gaming market tha✤t essentially allows you to play high-end games on low-end systems through the power of the internet.
GeForce Now works in mucꦉh the same way as Google Stadia in that the game is run on a server thousands of miles away. You interact with the game in much the same way as a remote desktop. The only difference is that Google Stadia will only let you play games that you own on their service, while GeForce now will let you play games that you already own on different platforms.
Already own 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2 on Steam? Then you can play it on GeForce Now. The same goes for Dauntless, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fortnite, Paladins, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Warframe, and a host of other titles.
However, GeForce Now doesn’t let you play every game that you might already own. Games from Capcom, EA, Konami, Remedy, Rockstar, and Square Enix aren’t available on GeForce Now, and you can add Activision Blizzard t꧂o that list too.
In a , Nvidia announced that Activision Blizzard had pulled their games from GeForce Now. "Per their request, please be advised Activision Blizzard games will be removed from the service. W💖hile unfortunate, we hope to work together with Activision Blizzard to reenable these games and more in the future."
This didn’t go over well with GeForce Now users, some of whom purchased Blizzard games specifically to play on the service. Activision Blizzard is also refusing to provide refunds to those players if theyꦆ had alreadജy owned the game for more than 48 hours.
Activision Blizzard has provided no explanation for their sudden about-face on GeForce Now, but it likely has something to do with the recent deal signed with Google oveꦐr streaming rights. Although that deal was for esports streaming, we can totally see negotiations expanding to include all streaming services, which means we might see 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:World of Warcraft appear as Google Stadia games.
The cloud-based gaming wars appear to be on.
