There hasn't been a new in nearly a decade. The last one, Live, launched in 2015. However, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick spoke about a "resurgence" for the series in a staff meeting yesterday (which was hosted by James Corden of Cats fame).

"A big part of what I've seen in Microsoft is research," Kotick said (as reported by ). "They do development in areas that are extraordinary. And so being able to tap into their AI and machine learning capability, the data analytics, new ways of thinking about graphics - I just see unlimited potential for what we do. We're uniquely situated as a company because we have the very best franchises in all of video games.

🍃The Last Of Us Part 2 Remaster Doesn’t Seem Like A Big Deal

The rumored remaster doesn't actually tell us much about 🅠the state of Naughty Dog or the broadeℱr industry.

"The re-emergence of Guitar Hero and other things would not be possible without the different types of resources,🧸" Kotick continued, looking forward to the next de🥃cade of gaming. "And so, the endless possibilities for that future are just incredibly exciting."

While fans have been eagerly waiting for eight years now, I'd temper expectations. In June, Kotick said that he thinks AI could res🌺urrect the Guitar Hero♒ series, despite the ongoing baꦉck꧒lash from fans and creatives alike.

"We haven't made a Guitar Hero in a long time, and I think with AI and some of the new technologies that we could employ, we could create a really compelling new Guitar Hero," Kotick said in an interview with . "But you know I can't share with you the things we're working on but we have a lot of new things in production and development that require better mastery of these new technologies."

It's unclear what part of Guitar Hero's development he thinks AI could supplant. He said that the "game itself is able to create its own content in real-time", but that could mean the artwork, music, code (as non-developers have tried with ChatGPT), or transcribing of existing songs to playable notes.

Of course, as our own Features Editor Andrew King writes, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:even꧅ if AI art looks good, i꧑t still sucks. AI tools are built around stealing and repurposing other work, hence the strikes, petitions, and lawsuits, and even if it's for something like transcribing music to gameplay, it's often woefully inaccurate.
