Nintendo is seriously on a tear with its Nintendo Direct this year. In addition to long-running continuations of classic series that haven't seen a new game in ages, the original two 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Advance Wars titles are being remade for the Switch. Titled Advance ⭕Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, the first two GameBoy Advance strategy classics are get♐ting a 3D redo with a cel-shaded art style.

The last official game in the series was Advance Wars: Days of Ruin on the DS b🍃ack in 2008. While never one of Nintendo's biggest sellers, a cult-following emerged around the series that has been dying for Nintendo to do something with the brand. A new entry would have been great, but a remake of the first game to reintroduce the franchise to a new generation is also rather excellent.

This remake should also help curb the ludicrous prices the GBA originals go for on eBay. I'm a fan of pixel art as much as any retro enthusiast, but no one should be paying $85+ for the original Advance Wars. Cult-classic or no🐟t, that's just a bit too much for what is now a 20-year-old game, even if it is a well-regarded title.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will hit Nintendo Switch on December 3, 2021. , it's listed at $59.99 and doesn't have any mention of DLC or pre-order bonuses. There will be four-player multiplayer support, but it's uncertain if that will contain any kind of online mode. ♔That would be a sh෴ame to leave out, but then Nintendo has always beat to the tune of its own drum.
