Originally announced back in January, this past weekend finally saw the release of the latest faction to join the ranks in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar, the Lumineth Realm-lords.
Age of Sigmar is a table-top wargame created by Games Workshop and sees two armies battle it out against one another for supremacy... usually over a kitchen table. The game was released in 2015 as a follow up to the much-loved Warhammer Fantasy Battles and it has found a steady following in the years since. In addition to the gaming aspect, th🔯ere is a strong hobby focus that centers on model-making and painting; the individual units, weapons, and vehicles come in kits that require๊ assembly and painting before use.
Available now in a Launch Box (while stocks last), purchasers will receive 16 newly-sculpted minis with extra parts to customize and make these models their own. There is also a limited edition version of the Battletome, 20 custom di✃ce, 36 reference cards, as well as some tokens to help with tracking in-game. New players will also be glad to see a condensed copy of the core rules included.
In a recent post on the site, GW shared some additional lore behind the new faction. The Lumineth Realm-lords are part of Grand Alliance of Order, and more specifically are Aelves. As the name suggests, they hail from the Realm of Light and much of their power and abilities are channeled through the use of Aetherquartz. The Chaos God Slaanesh had conquered their realm as The Age of Chaos r🤪uled supreme, consuming all who stood in his way. Following his capture, the Aelven Gods Tyrion and Teclis forced him to release the souls of those he had eaten, from which th🍷ey formed the new Aelven peoples. The most stable of these became the Lumineth Realm-lords and once again rule over the Realm of Light.
If you are looking for early access to these miniatures, or the exclusive Battletome, you need to act now as supplies are limited. Don’t worry if you miss out this time arღound, however, as the minis and rules will be individually available later this year.
