Alan Wake Remastered rumours had been swirling around since early this year. It was only last week that Remedy 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:confirmed that it will be remastering the horror classic with all-new rendered 4K visuals, and commentar🐬y from creative director Sam Lake. While the remaster will have a few new features added in, some features from the original will also be removed, mainly the product placement.
When it launched back in 2010, the world of Alan Wake was filled with product placement. Most of them were in the background, like b꧃illboards for service provider Verizon, while some of them were objects you could interact with in the game, like the Energizer batteries for Alan’s flashlight. A PR executive confirmed to that none of the brands that featured in the original will make it to the remaster as the deals had expired by now. They will instead be replaced with generic in-universe brands. However, the in-game TV shows and songs will still be there.
While the remaster is something to look forward to on its own, GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb has claimed that Remedy is planning an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Alan Wake sequel. He mentioned that the studio is busy working on multiple projects, with three of them planned to be long term IPs by 2025. Alan Wake is supposedly one of these key projects, and the aim of theremaster⭕ is to refre💟sh people’s minds before a sequel.
Grubb also mentioned the Alan Wake sequel back in March whඣen he spoke about Epic’s shift in attitude towards exclusiviꦗty, with the idea of starting to fund the development of games on its own. He claimed that Alan Wake 2 will be “the follow up the fans of that series want.”
Another great thing about the remaster is that Remedy managed to hang on to the rights to the Alan Wake franchis༒e, meaning that PlayStation owners will finally get to play it on their console💃s.
Alan Wake Remastered will include the base game and two expansions, The Signal and The Writer. The remaster will be availabl𒊎e next month on October 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
