The Apex Legends Global Series Playoffs are all over, and one of the most exciting additions this year was the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Multiview feature, which changed how fans can ♚watch the action. Along with updates to the UI that show teams’ loot, viewers were treated to huge quality of life updates that are long overdue.

However, it was noticeable that the improvements were only available in the EMEA and NA regions, despite big fanbases across the world and tournaments occurring in APAC North, APAC South, and South America. These latter three regions are streamed on other channels and platforms, rather than the official 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Apex Legends Twitch channel, and ALGS commissioner and senior director of Apex Legends competitive gaming John Nelson cites this as one of the reason💝s the new features were only availab𓃲le when watching certain tournaments.

“We had initially designed Multiview to debut as part of our global broadcast for an in-person ALGS Split 1 Playoffs,” he explains to TheGamer. “Wiꦚth Playoffs pivot🐭ing to an online regional format, we’re only able to incorporate the Multiview experience as part of our North America and EMEA broadcasts at this time.

“We made a significant investment in the hardware ꧑at our studio to deliver this new feature to our broadcasts. While we’re confined to Multiview on EA channels due to these physical constraints, we hope to make Multiview a mainstay for all future ALGS broadcasts.”

Nelson also tells us that he hopeღs to bring the feature to new regions in the future, although doesn’t elaborate as to whether this would be possible at on🌠line competitions or only at in-person tournaments which would place teams from every region in one lobby.

“We believe that we’re already building a global esport,” he s♌ays when TheGamer asked him if the limited rollout of the Multiview feature represented Apex Legends as the global esport that he has previously described. “With a global and far-reaching community comprising more than 100 million unique players, Apex Legends is one of the top FPS games in the world. The ALGS plays a considerable role in driving de⛎ep in-game engagement and growing fandom worldwide through out-of-game entertainment.

“Apex Legends offers a balanced and exciting experience where no two matches are ever the same. We feel strongly that introducing Multiview to the 🦹ALGS will help to better capture the intensity of competing against 20 of the world’s most elite squads. This added layer of accessibility and customizability for our fans will only fuel the continued growth of the ALGS. While we are only able to debut Multiview in a limited capacity at this time, we’re hoping to continue expanding upon the feature and bringin♛g it to new regions.

“By creating a long-term partnership with our community and our players, the sky's the limit for Apex Legends esports.”

Whether you were following TSM or NEW Esports in the ALGS, the further rollout of Multiview and similar features can only be a good thing for Apex Legends esports. Allowing viewers to tailor their experience in all regions is an exciting way to engage fans and allow the🍸m to 🏅follow specific teams as we head into Split 2, and viewers from other regions will need to keep their fingers crossed that the systems are rolled out for them in future tournaments.
