Installing mods on Aliens: Fireteam Elite couldn't be easier. To get started, download the Zip file of whichever mod you like from sites such as Nexus Mods (no steam workshop just yet sadly), then put the .pak file in the Paks folder inside the Aliens: Fireteam Elite app using the file directory.
Worth noting is that mod support is solely for single-player games. The devs have said this is to ensure that mods don't compromise the experience of the campaign for other players not using them, and they have hinted at changing this in the future. So custom lobbies with friends could be a possibility in the future.

Friendly Fire in Aliens: Fireteam Elite isn't too big of a problem on the lower difficulties, but once you cross that challenge threshold to the higher settings getting accidentally clipped by your pals does a lot more damage. Especially with AOE weapons like the flamethrower, the Demolishers rocket launcher, or accidental shots in the back from an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:overzealous sniper or shotgun-toting squad member.
Though the devs are still continuously tweaking the friendly fire damage numbers, sometimes it's worth doing their job for them. Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a good-looking game and the art team really outdone themselves when it comes to building a living breathing world from the Aliens franchise. Space Stations have that clunky retro feel, the Engineer sites are full of gigantic Giger-esque architecture and the Hives are nice, claustrophobic ꦗlabyrinths covered in glistening bio-metallic surfaces that Xenomorphs blend right into.
But if you're running the game on a big beefy PC then naturally you're going to want to turn everything up to 11 and this does just that. It removes some graphic settings, such as Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration, and also adds others, such as ACES Tonemapping and 2.5D Volumetric fog. Allowing you to run the game at 10-bit color in 4k. If your machine can handle it then this is worth checking out because it makes Aliens: Fireteam Elite look absolutely gorgeous when it gets running.

A pair of mods that bring a boatload more aliens to the playground by boosting their spawn rates by 2-3x depending on the type. This mod provides a true torrent of screeching, clawing monstrosities to blow apart. As a cherry on top, they've also gone to town with the rebalancing of weapons with damage increases, tweaks to reload speeds, and boosted splash damage to the big explosive toys. 5 Sentry Guns Lifespan Extended ไ
The Sentry Guns in Aliens: Fireteam Elite are an absolute godsend, especially in the hands of a Technician that can give them some nice big damage buffs. These cheap consumables dropped in the right spot can help even tꦕhe least coordinated of teams squeeze through the most challenging parts of the game. Though unfortunately, though they tend to run out of bullet♕s pretty fast, by which point another wave of Xenos is usually knocking on the door. To counter that, this is worth checking out.
It comes with two variants, More Ammo and Enhanced. The first boost's the Turret bullet pool with Normal Sentries going from 300 rounds to 1,200 and Heavy's skyrocketing from 600 to 2,400. Whilst the Enhanced variant notches their decay time from five minutes to 15, making them last through some of the harder wave sections. If you want to drop so many Sentries that the Xenos can't get past your wall of bullets, then this is one for you.
4 Difficulty Rebal🦄ancing ꦛ
Similar to Back 4 Bloods issue, on higher difficulty settings Aliens: Fireteam Elite does not go easy on you. Every Xeno is a bullet sponge and Elites can one or two-shot you if you're unlucky, turning every match on Extreme or above into a frustrating and grueling slog that's less about skill and more about abusing the game's AI and exploiting their pathing with ledges to crawl through to victory.
This levels the playing field a little by lowering the enemy's health to make them less spongy, whilst also buffing their damage a little. So they still hit really hard, but go down a lot easier. XP and rewards are also lowered, so it skirts a fine line between providing a challenging difficulty and fairness to players fed up with grinding through on Normal difficulty.
3 Infinite Lives✱ ♕
On its surface, it may seem a bit cheaty to have infinite lives. But considering t𝔍he entire Squad in Aliens: Fireteam Elite has limited revives before a Game Over makes you rest♕art an entire mission, it seems a lot more useful, especially on Extreme or Insane difficulty where team wipes can come out of nowhere fast.
Infinite Lives removes this limit completely, whilst shortening revive time and giving those that are downed a full health bar when they pop back up. It can make some of the more grueling sections such as the waves in Regicide, the mini-boss figh🦩ts, or the first confrontation with the Engineer mu🐻tants more manageable.

Normally unlocking cosmetics for your Colonial Marine involves grinding through missions for credits which are then spent with the Requisition Officer. It can be a slow process and skipping it to get some fun hats and clothes for your soldier can take out a lot of the game's repetition.
