Amazon has finally confirmed when this year's Prime Day event will be taking place - July 16 and 17, so not long to go until Prime subscribers can enjoy one of the biggest sale events of the year, Amazon or otherwise. You don't have to wait until then to start benefitting from Prime Day, though. Alongside confirming when Prime Day will take place, Amazon has revealed it will be giving away 15 games through Prime Gaming as it counts down to the two-day event.

The first batch of free games is already available. A perk of Prime that a lot of subscribers likely don't realize exists, if you have Prime, then you can regularly claim games for free and keep them forever. Not like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Game Pass or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation Plus where the free games are locked if your subscription expires. Prime Gaming gives you free games to claim and once you've claimed them, you can keep and play them forever.

The only thing that makes Prime's free games a little tricky is the different places you need to go to claim them. The four games available now to kick off its Prime Day countdown, for example, all need to be claimed in different ways. To keep things easy for any of you planning to claim some or all of the 15 free games given away between now and Prime Day, we've created a table detailing which games will be free, when they will be free, and where you'll need to go to claim them.

Every Free Game And Where To Claim It

The first four games are available now, and then four more games will be available to grab for free on Thursday. However, it's not until July 3 that the giveaway really kicks up a notch when Hitman Absolution will be free to claim for anyone with Prime. The final batch of games, available from July 11, is the biggest one of all. Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Shredder's Revenge both free on the same day. Special shout out to Alex Kidd In Miracle World too. I know it's not the biggest of that final batch, but since the original was one of the first games I ever played, it has a special place in my heart.
