If you've just started playing , you're probably wondering what happened to you before you woke up in the bloodied Cassandra, with nobody else present. But you're also most likely curious about the fates of those aboard the Cassandra, since not all of them were major players in the plot.
Some of the mangled bodies and decapitated corpses are unrecognizable to you when you encounter them in the game's various locations. From minor crewmates up to Tasi herself, here is what happened to the crew of the Cassandra during and after the events of the game.

14 Nicol✤as ♓Masson
Your first instinct was probably to think that the pilot of the Cassandra died upon impact in the Algerian desert, and you'd be correct.
Although not much can be said about him, one t♑hing we do know based on bits and pieces of information in the form of postcards is that he left the world with a lot of hearts broken. Waiting for him at home was his daughter and wife, as well as another woman who can be presumed to be his mistress.
13 🌄 Rachael Holt
Rachael is another who died upon impact in the desert. In terms of plot, there wasn't really much of a reason to keep her alive throughout the game, since it was her job to make sure that the crew's affairs were organized.
Based on the flashback Tasi had, it was proven that she died from theᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ crash with Tasi and Yasmin crying over her. But as we already know, there are worse fates than death in t🍰his game.
12 Lukas🐬 Ritter ﷽
Blondes dying early as a trope is pretty much the case with Lukas, except he ultimately died succumbing to the wounds suffered in the plane crash. There isn't anything more sinister, since he didn't speak that much, but he loved his wife. He agreed to be part of the trip as the second gun, even if he has no experience of being in French Algiers.
11 🐼 Eva Ritter ಞ
Eva was the team's geologist and Lukas' wife. She was his "package deal" — something taken to another degree when Lukas died, resulting in her taking her life due to grief. Despite her looking cold, this gesture proved that he really did matter to her a lot. If only we could've taken her to the Otherworld to examine the terrain, who knows what we would've found out about it?
10 Jonathan Wꦕebber ⭕
Although he was able to say his goodbyes to his family in case he died, it doesn't make the nature of his death comfortable to talk about. He survived the initial plane crash but was found decapitated at Al-Mamaru fort.
In fact, he's probably one of the first of the crew you find in extremely gruesome circumstances. His death effectively added a layer of fear, since getting to the fort brings the existence of ghouls to our attention.
9 Malick Tamboura ☂ 💟
Malick held the position of "first gun" and guide, which probably meant that he was responsible for the crew's protection and navigation. True to being a protector, Malick bravely sacrificed himself when saving Tasi from another character who turned into a Harvester.
Tasi remembers this when she finds Malick's corpse in the Otherworld. She recalls how Malick died at the hands of another crewmate who went through the transformation. Being mauled to death by your ex-boss is definitely one of the worst ways to go.
8 🥂 Alex Sterling
Ever heard of the rich kid dying first in horror movies? Alex did wh♊at most horror movie victims do — he broke away from his group to find Richard, who went into the Huntin🥀g Grounds.
We can't blame him for doing that in the name of love, but we can't deny that it wasn't the smartest move either, considering a lot of the crew had been attacked by ghouls at that point in the story. It's a shame that he also ended up mauled to death because of somebody who wasn't worth saving.
7 Richard Fa𒈔irchild
Richard ended up becoming a subject of vitae harvesting, but that doesn't really excuse his attack on Tasi when she tried to free him. He hit her with a rock and tried to flee from the ghoul, but was eventually killed by Tasi while she was in her Harvester state.
Talk about good deeds going punished. Tasi felt remorse about being🔥 unable to stop herself from killing Richard, but he did attempt to use her as a bargaining chip against another ghoul.
6 Leon De Vries 💜
Leon wasn't the most loved in this game, mostly because of how bigoted and off-putting his comments were. He survives, just not as a human. You either die a hero like Malick, or live long enough to become the villain.
ಌLeon became 🧸the latter by becoming a Harvester in the Hunting Grounds. For somebody who was meant to be awful, he redeemed himself by doing his best not to kill Tasi despite his transformed state.
5 Yasmin Chabani ❀
Yasmin's character was lovely, but suffered a horrible fate as a Harvester that was later put down by Dr. Metzier. Yasmin was a great hostess, who was able to get along with just about anybody on the crew.
Selfless up to the very end, she tried to trap her leg in a bear tra✅p so that Tasi could run away from her. She did end up losing control and was shot by the doctor as a consequence.
