According to the streamer, the decision to buy stock in Activision Blizzard had nothing to do with the alle♉gations of workplace abuse and misconduct. Amouranth said that investing in the company just made good business sens♛e. Activision Blizzard is currently being acquired by Microsoft in a deal worth just under $69 billion.

“As for Activision Blizzard, this is near Berkshire price,” Amouranth on Twitter. “Good intellectual property, domestic, world where globalization is waning.” The streamer added that “to be clear, I am looking to capture the takeover spread. That’s the main point. I just think it’s no꧋t a bad price even if that fails to happen.”

Amouranth seems to have hedged their bets. In other words, the streamer stands to gain whether the deal actually goes through or not. Stock prices are expected to increase after the acquisition by Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will receive $3 billion worth of indemnities if the purchase falls through. “Bou☂ght almost $2,000,000 in Activision Blizzard,” the content creator on Twitter. “Roughly a 20% ‘uncorrelated’ return if the Microsoft deal goes through.”

“The acquisition price is in cash and ♔is 20% higher than where I bought the shares,” Amouranth later pointed out during an interview. “Plus, the acquisition is expected to close within a year.”

When it comes to the reports of workplace abuse and misconduct, Amouranth noted that Microsoft will “clean house” shortly after the acquisition. Microsoft has made several statements to this effect, but the future is hardly set in stone. Whether any of this actually pans out remains to be seen. Workers on the other hand have not been taking the company at its word, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ramping up the struggle fo✃r unionization despite the looming🐠 merger.

Amouranth believes that “upon a change of ownership, there would be a change of management.” The stream𓄧er also pointed out in reference to the embattled Chief Executive Officer at Activision Blizzard Bobby Kotick th🧸at Microsoft would “have no legacy or attachment to bad actors.”

As for being able to change things from the inside, Amouranth pointed out that “although $2 million is a lot individually, in terms of enacting change, it's just a drop in the bucket. I fully expect Microsoft to be the change given they have an incentive to throw the kitchen sink at problems so they can reflect a clean slate.”

“I’m going for a board seat with the aim to de-objectify women,” Amouranth joked in reference to Activision Blizzard attempting to “tone down sexuality” by replacing paintings of women🌞 with paintings of fruit in games like World of Warcraft. “Turn them back from bowls of fruit into women,” the streame༺r said.
