168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Critical Role, the web series that could reasonably be credited with pushing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons to the massive success it is now, is fina꧃lly getting its own official adventure book.
Co-lead by Critical Role's DM, voice actor Matt Mercer, as well as Dungeons & Dragons' principal story architext Chris Perkins, Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep takes place in the same setting as the ongoing show's upcoming third season, the continent of Marquet. Designed for levels three through 12, it takes players through Exandria as they attempt to save a "mighty champion of the gods" who has been trapped for eons.
Exandria is its own setting distinct from popular D&D staples like the Forgotten Realms or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ravenloft, and the book will feature new creatures, locations, NPCs and items unique to it, such as the city of Ank'Harel and the Wastes of Xhorhas. There will be some stuff for non-viewers, too, as there will be some elements, particularly "story hooks and lore", that can easily be transplated into an ongoing, non-Exandria campaigns.
Alongside Mercer and Perkins, there will be an array of contributors, including James Haeck (who previously wrote the Critical Role crossover sourcebook, Explorer's Guide to Wildemount), and artists Minttu Hynnien, Deven Rue, Kent Davis and Linda Lithen.
Critical Role is a massively successful "live play" series created by Matt Mercer, where him and fellow voice actors use their performing skills to play lengthy D&D campaigns. Since beginning in 2015, there have been almost 300 episodes (each around three hours long each at least) spread across two campaigns. While it is a massive time investment, Critical Role almost immedi༒ately shot up to🃏 be the leader in the D&D live play genre, with 1.39 million subscribers on YouTube and 833,000 followers on Twitch.
Well-known voice actors Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Sam Riegel, Marisha Ray, Liam O'Brien and Ashley Johnson make up the main cast, but have been joined by guest stars over the years, such as Ashley Burch and Wil Wheaton. In 2019, Critical Role launched a kickstarter to fund a single 22-minute long animation for $750,000. By the end of the campaign, it had raised $11.3 million and turned into the fully-fledged 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend Of Vox Machina 10-ep𝕴isode series set to debut on Amazon Prime Video in early 2022.
Preorders for are available now ahead of its launch on March 15, 2022. The third season of Critical Role, which takes place in the same l♋ocation, is set to begin on O🎃ctober 21, 2021.
