Animal Crossing fans are celebrating the return of everyone's favourite piece of amphibian-themed furniture - Froggy Chair.
Yesterday's New Horizon's-focused Nintendo Direct revealed that the latest Animal Crossing will be getting a huge patch with tons of ne💮w cont🔯ent, as well as a big 🔯Happy Home Designer-inspired ꦍDLC pack later in the year.
Altꦯhough the Direct gave Animal Crossing fans plenty to look forward to, nestled within all of the announcements was one that arguably topped them all. During a section of the Direct that showed players that they can now get through tight gaps in furniture, Froggy Chair was sat in the background of one short clip, confirming that it was being added back to the game in the latest update.
Froggy Chair was originally introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and was quickly picked up by the internet as possibly the most wholesome piece of furniture in Animal Crossing. He's more than just a piece of furniture, he's a friend. Froggy Chair quickly became an Animal Crossing staple, with many expecting Nintendo to pick up on the fandom's love for it and push it into the next game.
Because of Froggy Chair's massive internet popularity, Animal Crossing fans joked that it was a shoo-in to be in New Horizons, joking that if it was missing then they wouldn't be interested. Lo and behold, New Horizons launched and Froggy Chair was completely absent, with no references, in-jokes, or frog-themed furniture to keep fans happy. That will soon no longer be the case.
