K.K. Slider, the utterly adorable Jack Russel from Animal Crossing, is known for carrying his acoustic guitar, a small wooden stool, and having chill vibes. We all know and love him for his role as the official minstrel, bard, and song master of the series. Not only has he been in every Animal Crossing game to date, but he's made cameo appearances in Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, and Platoon, too. Subsequently, his fans have been recreating cover art from their favorite꧂ albums, featuring our favorite musical pup instead of the original arཧtist.

This fad is the perfect combination of fandom creativity, boredom resulting from social isolation, and the urge to reach for nostalgic music in these crazy times. Here is one example of the cover art for Fallen, where the artist replaced Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee (and her epic fringe bangs) with none-other-than K.K. Slider. This albu🔯m has every early 2000's scenester's favorite song: "Bring me to life."

Another musician reimagined K.K. Slider as the Welsh pop icon Marina and the Diamonds, with her heart on her cheek and never on her sleeve. Her album Froot inspired t💛his glowing rainbow K.K. Slider portrait.

Some Animal Crossing fans are even throwing it all the way back to 1977, with David Bowie's "Hero♛es" cover. K.K. Slider's paws frame his face, perfectly emulating the legendary glam rocker's album cover.

One of the most iconic pieces of cover art, Nirvana's Nevermind – featuring a naked baby swimming and reaching out for a dollar – was also remade staring K.K. Slider. At first look it seems like a perfect match, especially since the pup always appears in Animal Crossing with no clothing, but many fans commented that t🦄here was something missing from the work that inspired it.

Artists have included other beloved Animal Crossing pals in the cover art cr𝔉aze as well, a perfect example being the below replica of Weezer's cover art.

Some artists have e🦋ven omitted K.K. Slider for other characters, or chair-acters, like in the case of this Froggy Chair-inspired album art.

It is great to see fans find ways to both express themselves and make others laugh. Plenty of unlikely Animal Crossing events have already occurred and surely there will be even more to come.
