To participate in the Tourney, all you need to do is head oveꦰr to Residential Services on the day and find C.J. who should be hanging out in front of the building. Simply talk 𒅌to him and the opportunity to enter the Tourney should present itself. The first time you compete is free, but if you want to keep accruing points it's going to cost you 500 Bells for each additional entry. Oh, and make sure your Residential Services building has been upgraded or you won't be allowed to play.
Tourney Rules And Prizes
The rules for C.J.'s Fishing Tourney are pretty straightforward. Once you've talked to him about the Tourney all you need to do is catch a big old batch of fish within the span of 3 minutes. Once😼 that time limit is up, report back to C.J. and he'll reward you with points for each fish you caught. You'll get one point per fish but if you manage to catch more than 3 fish before the 3 minutes are up you'll earn an additional 2 points.
It's also possible to make C.J.'s Fishing Tourney into a multiplayer experience by inviting some friends to your island or traveling to someone else's home. If a whole group enters the Tourney together, they'll get additionaౠl points for catching over 5 f♉ish as a team. Best of all, C.J. won't charge you the 500 Bell fee to re-enter the Tourney. So it may be more lucrative to go fishing with some friends.
