You may or may not have noticed the photographs behind Sable's sewing station at some point while in the shop. Eventually, these end up as a catalyst for her to tell you a little about her family history and how she served as a legal guardian to her sisters. Besides hinting at their family drama, the Able sisters gradually open up to you about things like their old shop, the trouble of being shorthanded with running a small business, and missing their sister Label, who lives off the island. Label, however, is an unlock-able character who occasionally visits the island as a traveling merchant to sell her brand, Labelle. Her sisters sell her clothing in their shop, showing that any of the past trouble between Sable and Label has been fixed since the days of New Leaf.
Besides ꦑsupporting her sisters bu🌄siness, Sable will eventually give you free patterns of what she's working on, which can in turn be used to customize furniture.
One thing players will spot as they become friendly with Sable, is that not only does she open up to you, but gathers the courage to open up to her own sist𝕴er also, revealing her guilt and wrongdoing for treating her like a child in the past. Players can speculate from this detail, that Label's island appearance is a product of Sable fixing things with Mable, which caused her to come to the realization that she wanted to fix the uncomfortable relationship she ha𝓡d with Label so that they could all be a family again.
