Over the years, Nintendo has really embraced the idea of fashion in their Animal Crossing games. From the designable custom shirts in the original Gamecube title to the more advanced (in relative terms) shoe and facial accessory options of later installments, there has been an obvious progression. Now, it seems the developer is truly stepping up its fashion game with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as players now have the option to wea🌺r something as ꧋timeless as the paper bag.
In the past, it has been possible to express yourself almost limitlessly with customizable t-shirt designs. However, the option to wear a paper bag with two holes for your Animal Crossing avatar's whimsical eyes is far more enticing a fashion statement than wearing, for instance, a t-shirt of a badly-designed 8-bit😼 Super Mario.
As said earlier, the concept of the paper bag is timeless. It was famously worn in the last decade by Shia LaBeouf in an act of defiance but had before been worn in a multitude of comic strips by none other than Charlie Brown. As classic as one of the most classic comic strip characters around, the paper bag simply can't be beat and its inclusion in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is thrilling.

Now, other styles are represented in the picture above. Colored berets and bonnets, as well as gimmicky and sports sunglasses can be seen among the styles. Even a couple of dresses can be spotted at the top left corner. What makes the paper bag perhaps the most economical choice of all clothing items is its rather inexpensive price tag of 140 Bells. The exchange rate between Bells and our local currencies is unknown, but among the accessories pictured above, you're least likely to brea꧒k the bank when donning the paper bag.
It is hard to beat a paper bag, but we still technically don't know of what could likely be a plethora of clothing options. However, it's hard to say for sure, but the paper bag may also be usable practically or even used by the most minimalistic of kleptomaniacs. The option to steal is probably not an option in New Horizons, but a paper bag offers a bevy of possibilities!
