That's right, at long last, you can customize not just the exterior of your home, . No more will you have to consider booting your neighbour off the island just because your aesthetics clash - now, everything is ours to control.
This has been a long-requested feature in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Every villager comes with their own unique exterior design, and would previously stick with that regardless of what your island looked like. Of course, since New Horizons puts much more of an emphasis on designing the outside than previous entries, this could create clashes with your styl🍎e and theirs. Some ❀players would even kick villagers if their homes stuck out that much.
But now, anyone who purchases the Happy Home Paradise DLC can be a tyrannical resident representative, and forcibly change the appearance of all the island's houses from the town hall. Just as you would with your own abode, you can select from different colour schemes, brickwork, roofs, and doors.
It doesn't end there. The DLC also allows you to come over and redecorate the interior of their home. We could already do this to a certain degree, as gifted furniture would often be put up in their house, but they weren't always the best when it comes to figuring out where to put it, so this will be another welcome addition to the game.
The only drawback is that unlocking the feature will take a while. In the DLC, you'll have to complete 30 different jobs to get the ability to edit your neighbour's crib, but once you have it, you always will.
