Traveling is one of the best features in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Not only does it allow players to visit the islands of their friends and potentially sell their turnips or their fruits for a higher price, but it also gives them the opportunity toꦫ find rare villa🌠gers on mystery island tours.
Although players definitely appreciate these two dodo birds for the work 🦋and effort they do, there's a lot that doesn't quite make sense about them. From repetitive, time-consuming dialogues to details that seem out of place,💦 here are 10 accurate memes to showcase just how strange Dodo Airlines actually is.
10 W𒀰right Brothers, As♔ Dodos
Let's start off with some history, and a reference that most players probably didn't even know about or pay any attention to. Animal Crossing games tend to be filled w♏ith little pop culture and historical referဣences to spice things up for players and to bring some color into the game.
The Dodo brothers are no different. They're actually based on the Wright brothers, even though th🅰ey're not exactly the first people to ever come up with a c💦oncept for an airplane or flying in the first place.
9 ಞ No Party Poppers
Aviation laws in the world of Animal Crossing aren't going to be the same as they are in real life. Oꦯr are they? Looking at some of the signage, players have been able to spot a very familiar one stating liquids are not allowed on the plane.
However, the sign right next to it is much stranger. It definitely looks like a party popper. Why? Maybe it's the sound that would 💦startle other passengers or the pilot himself, or something players just aren't aware of...
8 Dodo Yearbook 🔥
The Dodo brothers are definitely twins, at least to a degree. Without accessories, it would probably be almost impossible to tel𝓰l them apart. That is, until one of them actually opens their mouth, since Wilbur has a sign✨ificantly deeper voice than Orville.
Wilbur really does seem to be the cooler brother out of the two. Not only does he have that deep voice, he also wears shad﷽es at all times and actually gets to pilot the plane, while his brother Orviꩵlle just sits at the computer every day. There's no way Orville isn't annoyed about it.
7 💟 Water Landing 🎃
Upon arriving to a friend's island, players are always greeted with the same message from Wilbur, which would frighten just about any traveler. A water landing isn't a commonplace landing either in the Animal Crossing univers💜e or real life, but Wilbu💖r is pretty casual about it.
But he then adds that the plane is actually a seaplane and able to make water landings comfortably. Isn't that something that should be mentioned before the player boards the plane?
6 An Annoying Visit ♔ ಞ
Visiting a friend's island is a great way to enjoy the game with others and get more 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:furniture, as well as sell off those turnips that are on the verge of rotting. However, every time the player needs to travel to another playe𝓰r's island, it's a whole ordeal.
The sheer amount of dialogue that needs to be spent on Orville is just so excessive. If a friend happens to be on their phone while the player wants to leave, they won't actually be able to fly off the island. Let's not even💧 talk about how everyone's life gets interrupted by a massive cutscene.
5 What Would Dodos Do?༺
Every villager in the game has a catchphrase and it's pretty obvious which one the Dodo brothers have. Every single time the player is sent somewhere, whether it's to a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:mystery island or a friend's islan﷽d, they're always told the same thing: "If you get into trouble, ask yourself, what would dodos do?"
The only problem with this question is of course the fact that nobody but dodos themselves know what they would do in𓆏 a tough situation. A strange and illogical piece of advice to give to a human being.
4 🐠 Tඣhe Dodo Dialogue
Repetitive dialogue is kind of a plague in Animal Crossing, and many special 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:villagers on the i🐓sland are guilty of this. It makes using some of the basic island services extremely annoying as players need to skip through lines upon lines of dialogue to get to the actual point.
The Dodo brothers are part🍸icularly bad with this. Orville's dialogue is so long players practically fall asleep before they board the plane. On top of that, Wilbur's code language is excessively wordy once the 🅘player arrives to their destination.
3 Vanda🦩lism 🔯Allowed
It would be hard to get anything done in the game if mystery island tours never existed. Some of the DIYs, especially early on in the game, require quite a bit of grinding fo🌺r natural reso﷽urces, and since all the areas of the island aren't accessible for the player, mystery island tours are a relief.
Tha🃏t being said, there's something a bit sinister about how the Dodo brothers are totally okay watching the player just pillage these beautiful paradise islands for resources. It's particularly bad when there happens to be a villager on the island who just moved there.
2 🌳 Whatever Happened To Kapp'n?
No one has asked this question, so someone has to: whatever happened to Kapp'n? Why was he just swept aside for New Horizons? He was a perfectly good special villager. If anything, he was more versatile than💃 the Dodo brothers by being able to not only be a sailor but also drive vehicles.
Whatever happened to him, it's suspicious how he just never came back. Maybe he was forced to retire? Either way, Wilbur and Orville must have something 💛to do with this, as they surely knew Kapp'n at some point.
1 A Lꦏittle Maneuver ꦺ
It's nice when friends come over▨ to visit, but it's also such a burden. As soon as a friend wants to leave, every🐻thing just gets immediately interrupted on the island and everyone has to sit tight for what seems like two hundred years as Dodo Airlines plays it's cutscene.
Why is this process so long? Does it really take this long for Nintendo to connect between islands? Hopefully in the future, the D𒁃odo brothers will provide some faster services for players in a hurry.
