For this method to work, you'll need to have two players on your system. So far, it seems this method is only available in local co-op (though it will likely be patched out in the future). Fro༒m there, call them in using your Nookphone. If you don't have another person to help you, you can simply create a secondary profile on your Switch and then use split joy-con play to achieve this.

From there, you need to put a table down in a rand💃om spot and have the second player grab it. Player one will put the item they want duplicated on the table and player two will then start to rotate the table. During rotations, player one should attempt to grab said item. If done correctly, the item will remain on the table and a duplicated one will appear in the first player's inventory.

Items that work with this glitch are anything that changes shape when put down. This can be b𝓀ugs, fish, furniture, and even fossils. Since some of these items sell for an insane amount of bells, duplicating them will obviously result in your shooting up your bank account.

GameXplain originally discovered the glitch but has since removed its video on the topic. You can find various other videos on YouTube, though we won't be sharing them here. Nintendo will likely begin to initiate DMCA takedowns, if not outright patching thi♏s method out within the week. If you want to make use of this, make sure to do so now.
