After moving onto the island when first starting Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players only have access to about half of its overall landmass. Areas beyond rivers and up sheer inclines are gated behind tools that can only be created after reaching certain milestones. About a week and🍒 a half later, players have likely acquired the ladder and vaulting pole, allowing them to🦹 explore the entire island.
One player, however, has to transcend the game's physical limitations, sharing a glitch that allows exploration of areas never intended 𝓡to be traversed.
Stephen Georg shared the discovery to his YouTube channel , where he 🍃regularly posts gaming content. He specifies at the beginning of the video that the glitch is unique to Version 1.2.0a of the game. This means that, as of now, his method works on the latest patch of the game. Future updates, however, very well may patch it out, as with a method used to duplicate items discovered soon after the game's release.
First, he explains, players hoping to try his method out themselves will need a chair that can be mounted from more than one of the four cardinal directions, as well as an object that can be grabb🎶ed while seated. The gates to your village should also be open. To properly position the chair, first place it flush with the surface you wish to climb, then pull it exactly one step away from that surface. After▨ that, place the object adjacent to the chair on the side opposite the building or wall.
While seated and grabbing the object, a friend must fly into yജour village. The message displayed announcing their arri꧑val will then cause your villager to stand up, clipping into the chair. Moving toward the nearby building or wall will move your villager on top of it.
This glitch can be used to walk on top of buildings like the museum or the various villagers' homes, onto elevated ground stacked four tiers high, and even within bodie🅰s of water. With the right equipment and a friend to visit your village, the glitch is simple to execute and harmless, so be sure to give it a try befoꦆre the next patch likely removes it entirely.
