Howeve✤r, the spokesperson did acknowledge that if a subscription is suspended, then players will not be able to visit the neꦜw locations and take on requests for designing vacation homes, one of the new features in the expansion. Renewing a subscription or purchasing the DLC separately would restore that feature.
While letting players keep content at no additional cost after unsubscribing is not the norm when it comes to DLC and expansions in games, it looks like Nintendo is confident that players will want to keep their access after playing.
