Once you have designed 15 vacation homes, not including facilities, Lottie will tell you that Niko wants to talk to you upstairs in the Paradise Planning office. Head up and speak t🤡o the little monkey near the DIY workbench.
The next day, Niko will school you — literally — on some brand new ideas and give you the DIY recipes for pillars and island counters. You can then use these in any vacation home, facility, or villager home designs by accessing them from the 'Other' menu, or you can craft them to use in your own home.
