As with most of the best features added in this new content, you won't have access to it right away. Don't worry though, as you can add roommates to any houses you have designed before unlocking this feature. Here's everything you need to know.

How To Unlock The Roommates Feature
Once you have designed 16 different vacation homes, not including facilities, one of your previous clients will arrive in the office and ask you to pair them with a roommate. After you have done this for them, you can add roommates to a🉐ny vacation hom𝔍es you have already built or will build in the future.
How To Give Clients A Roommate
Once you have unlocked the roommate feature, you can visit any of your vacation home clients and choose 'How's your home?' followed by 'Let's talk roommates.' to suggest they get a new live-in partner.
Once you enter discussions to find them a roommate at the Paradise Planning office, you'll then need to find the client their perfect partner.
There are a few different ways you can do this:
- Speaking to clients on the same island as the Paradise Planning office.
- Amiibo cards.
- Asking Niko to speak to a current homeowner.
If you don't want to invite any new clients or pre-existing clients that you find wandering around the island or within your facilities, you can speak to Niko and ask to invite one of your current vacation homeowners.
Choosing someone with a ꦐpre-existing vacation home means that their previous home will be des🐓troyed.
When inviting someone to be a roommate via amiibo cardꦰs, you can choose either a brand new client or someone who alread൲y has a vacation home in your game.
If you choose theꦕ latter, you will be given a warning that their vacation home will be de🔴stroyed if you make them become roommates with your new client.
If you use an amiibo card of someone who is already rooming with someone else, they will refuse your offer to roo💖m with sཧomeone else. There is a way around this, which we cover in the next section.
How To Remove Roommates
There may come a time when you don't want two of your clients to room with one another anymore, perhaps someone new has moved in, and you feel they would make a better match for one of your past clients. Fortunately, there is something that you can do about it.
Visit the vacation home with the roommates and speak to them, asking them 'How's your home?' option and choose to ask them about their roommate. This will allow you to offer that you will build them their own vacation home, separating the two from one another. Once both clients are living alone ༺again, you ꩵcan pair them up with someone else.
