For all the things we love about168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there has been one very important feature missing since the game's launch. Finally, with this second summer update to the game,🌱 Nintendo has provided a solution for all of us who have been begging for a way to backup and restore our islands. The downside is that this isn't the most ideal or simple solution everyone has been clamoring for, and does take a little more work than it probably should. Regardless, you'll be glad to know how to finally ensure you have a backup for your is🐷land in case of emergency.

How To Set Up Island Backup

Rather than go with normal cloud saves, Nintendo has made a somewhat unique system just for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Before it will work for you, make you'll need to make sure you meet two requirements. First is that your copy of Animal Crossing is updated to the latest version, which as of now is 1.4. If you're unsure, you can check if the game can be𓂃 updated on the home screen by pressing the plus button on the game's icon. Second, you'll need to be a member of Nintendo Swit🌳ch Online.

If you've met those two simple requirements, you should now see a small "Island Backup" message in꧂ the bottom left corner of the game's title screen. Hit the minus button to enter your settings and Tom Nook will now allow you to turn on the island backup option. Once you've done that, you're all set. You're free to resume tending to your i♋sland as normal, but any time you come back to the game after saving and quitting you will see a new icon on the title screen telling you when your island was last saved.

How To Restore Your Island

Should the unthinkable happen and your Switch is da🌌maged, los♏t, or needs to be replaced for whatever reason, the process of getting your island back is relatively simple. Once you have a replacement console, head over to Nintendo's official website and find the support section to talk to a representative. They will guide you through the rest of the process of getting your island back.

Again, this is not the ideal solution of simply being ꧒able to upload our islands to the cloud and download them ourselves, but it is something. Hopefully the process of contacting Nintendo to restore islands is quick and easy, and we're glad to at least have something, but we'd obviously rather be in complete control of our islands.
