Any self-respecting Animal Crossing player knows that playing the stalk market can bring high and l🅠ows. This week the lows were crushing. After prices dropped to just 43 bells this morning it seemed that I may be destined to lose my investment and that extension I had my eye on. Then an unexpected hero stepped up: Freeman, the Global CM for EA DICE.

After spotting the whopping 423 bell price for turnips Freeman took the brave step of opening up his island to the internet, posting a shoutout and a Dodo Code on🙈 social media. I'll admit I was slightly skeptical but I went to the airport, turnips in bag, to see what would happen.

After a couple of attempts, since you can't enter or exit islands while people are engaged in trades or conversations, I finally took off. As I approached the island I was greeted by balloons, a joyful way to steer visitors towards the store. After a joke and a wave, I entered the store to discover that𒉰 I was indeed about to score big.

I'd invested everything I had into turnips this week and my tumbling prices had panicked me slightly. Now, thanks to Freeman, I was about to turn my fortunes around. After I cashed out I went back home to pay off my debts, now a free woman. Well, kind 🦩of, I may have taken out a final loan for that extension...

Freeman has said that he intends to keep his island open as long as possible and is asking for nothing in return. If you do pay him a visit please play nicely. The Animal Crossing world needs heroes like Freeman, so please respect them. The st▨alk ma🍎rket depends on it.
