After 20 years of yelling at kids for resetting t🌺heir consoles, Mr Resetti seems to have found in♓ner peace with his new job.
Despite being one of Animal Crossing's most iconic characters, although perhaps infamous is more accurate, Mr Resetti didn't appear very much in New Horizons. The introduction of auto-saving meant that Resetti had to change jobs to the Rescue Service found on the Nook Phone.
Beyond the shape of the rescue helicopter looking like Resetti and a conversation you can have with him if you try to pay for a rescue without having enough bells, there was very little indication that it was actually him behind the wheel. Well, New Horizons' 2.0 update has fixed that by giving him a surprise cameo appearance in The Roost, and it seems like he's found inner peace.
Villagers can randomly find Resetti sitting inside The Roost, where they can have a conversation with him about what he's been up to. In the exchange, he says, "Back in the old days, it was pretty much my job to be angry all the time. That's a tough habit to break... These days, I try to watch my temper. Being angry is stressful, and stress ain't good for you. Not at all! My new job really helps though. Some days are almost... relaxin'!"
and the Animal Crossing community blew up, with the post sitting on 22.9k likes. Seems like a lot of Animal Crossing players h෴ave also made peace with Resetti. We stan some self-growth.
You can also talk to Resetti if he appears sat at the bar, where he'll have some different dialogue. , he'll talk about his war against the reset button, although it seems his outlook has changed a bit, saying " Now that I’m a little older, I get to thinkin’ …what if reset buttons are actually…good? Like, if you mess something’ up real bad…wouldn’t it be good to get a do-over".
