Different creatures are featured in the various puzzles. While some can aid you in your puzzle-solving, others are ho🐻stile. One of these hostile creatures is the Kangaroo, and your encounte🅷rs with it are part of a big puzzle. Solving it will require traversing across the map and beating the Kangaroo whenever you meet it.
Where To Find The Kangaroo
The Kangaroo is a hostile creature that you can encounter in Animal Well. When you come face-to-face with the Kangaroo, it will hop around to pound you to the ground until you lose all your health.
There are only five locations on the map where the Kangaroo can possibly spawn:
- The first location is the large area underneath the Peacock room, which is marked with a large egg on the map.
- The next location is the area directly to the east of the first telephone you'll find. The closest warp point here is the Squirrel, right next to where you spawned.
- The third location is east of the large room full of animal statues right in the center of the map. You'll find a duck walking around here.
- The next location is the area to the right of the Frog warp point. The Kangaroo can possibly be found standing on the ledge there.
- The last location is close to the Dog warp point. You'll need to drop down through the hole on the right, then head east. The room you'll end up in is where the Kangaroo could possibly appear.
When you get to the spawn locations of the Kangaroo, there's a chance that you'll need to explore the whole room before it hops in. If you've explored the whole room without it spawning, move on to the next location.
When the Kangaroo is about to appear, upbeat menacing music will start playing in the backgroundꦫ. You'll also hear its criꦰes right when it hops into your location.
How To Get K Shards
The Kangaroo cannot be defeated permanently. It will always have a chance to spawn in the five different locations. That being said, there's a way to scare it off.
Don't run away to a different area when the Kangaroo appears. It's better to fight it in order to get the reward it drops.
Make sure to avoid the Kangaroo as it hops around the room. Throw your firecrackers on the ground in order to spo𝓡ok the Kangaroo into hopping away.
When the Kangaroo is spooked, it will drop a sack nearby. Picking it up will reveal a K shard inside. There are three K shards in total to collect, and you can see how many you have so far by checking your inventory.
The K shards can be found in the lower-right corner of your inventory menu.
Even if you collect the three K shards, the Kangaroo will still keep appearing. Scaring it off with firecrackers, however, will not cause it to drop any item.
There is an issue with the Kangaroo puzzle wherein the K shard it drops is nowhere to be found꧅, even after scaring the creature off with fi♔recrackers.
When this happens, make sure to check all the adjacent rooms. The K shard may have landed in a different area. This includes areas above the Kangaroo's spawn location, such as tꦜhe small tunnel below the Peacock room.
How To Use The K Shards
The three K shards will form a medal when put together. You'll need to take them to the room with the kangaroo statue in order to complete the puzzle.
The closest warp point to the Kangaroo statue room is the Dog head. Taki🌳ng ওthis warp point will have you end up in the northwest area of the map.
- From the room with the Dog head, you'll need to drop through the hole on the right.
- You'll end up in a room with a dog running around. Go to the east from here.
- The next area will have wooden platforms leading to the lower level. Go down here.
- Go west to the next room, which has stalactites hanging from the ceiling. Use your Disc or your Yoyo to knock them down in order to form a path over the water.
- Go west again to the dark room full of levers. You'll need to make your way to the upper-left corner of the room and go up the ladder.
How To Beat The Bat Boss
The next room will have a large Bat boss in it. Lighting the candle here will awaken it, and it will cause the stalactites to fall.
If the Bat had already awakened earlier, coming to this room at a later time would have the stalactites still stuck to the ceiling. The Bat will not be able to knock them down for you to use.
You can't defeat the Bat, so you'll need to find your way around it instead. The path you need to go through is in the upper-left corner of the room, and the fallen s🐓talactites should help you make it th🃏ere safely.
If the stalactites are still stuck on the ceiling, you can still knock them down using your Yoyo or your Disc. Make sure you don't hit their sharp end while they're on the ceiling. You'll take damage if you collide with them.
A useful trick is to throw your Disc against two parallel stalactites or walls. This will bounce of♊f each of them until there is nothing blocking its way.

In the bottom-right corner of the room is a secret path to a chest containing the 'Egg as a Service' secret egg.
Use the lily pads in the water to safely hop across to the west section of the room where the kangaroo statue stands. There is a small statue here with a r🧜ound s🀅lot in the center.
Place the K shards inside to solve the puzzle. An opening ꦦin the wall above y𝕴ou will appear when the shards are all in place.
You can place each K shard here, even if the other pieces have not yet been found. If you are having trouble getting the Kangaroo to drop a K shard, make sure to check this room.

Go through the opening, and you'll see wooden platforms leading to an area below. Hop all the way down, and you'll find a chest. There is a B. ball in th൲e♎ chest, and this is another key item that can be equipped as a tool.
