You’re on your way down to the B. Flame in this part of , so you’re no stranger to how things work around here by now – you think. Now, though, revisiting the area where you found the Seahorse before requires you to think c𓆏reatively to get y✤our Disc to hit buttons your blob can’t reach.

One such time you’ll need to do this is during the Whale puzzle in Animal Well, the mini-boss puzzle set directly before a second showꦡdown with the Seahorse. Use what you’ve learned in the area leading here to solve the Whale puzzle up ahead.

Where To Find The Whale

Like the other flames in Animal Well, you'll need all the basic tool upgrades before you can access the Whale. This includes the Disc, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the B. Wand, the Yoyo, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Slinky. Similarly, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Animal Flute provides access to fast travel and 🔯isn't♛ necessary, but is quite helpful!

As you play through Animal Well 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in search of all four flames, you'll encounter the Whale puzzle on the path to the B. Flame in the southwest quadrant of the map, in the section where you got the B. Wand and have been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dealing with the Seahorse and the water puzzles.

We started from the telephone to the right of the large chasm you ride down on a bubble and flip switches to cage a humming bird. It's by the puꦿzzle with the penguins, where you get one of the matches for the candles, as shown in the image below.

To find the Whale, you'll need to descend the ladder here and solve an even more complicated fountain puzzle than the one you used to access the path to the B. Wand above the Storks just north of here. In this central room, there are three cranks this time, correlating to the three platforms you'll use to get water into the center basin.

Only one crank is actually in this main room, though, with the left and right cranks in adjacent rooms. We began with the right crank, so head into the room to the right of the fountain puzzle. Here, there's a penguin on the left half of the screen who walks back and forth, going up the steps over the fan to hit the green button, which makes the block on your side of the screen rise toward the blocked path in the top left corner.

When the penguin first makes the block rise, ride the block up and get off to the right, where you can drop your Slinky onto the green || button below. This makes it so the right fan on the penguin's side of the screen turns on. Once it's on, drop back down on the left side and wait for the penguin to make the block rise again. Run under the block while it's raised.

Here, you can step on the green = button, which turns on the lower fan on the penguin's side of the room. While you stay on the button, wait for the penguin to complete its circuit again. It will bounce around with the fans before it reaches the top platform and hits the yellow button.

With the path in the top left corner open now, head that way to find the right crank for the main fountain puzzle, where you can adjust it so it angles toward the basin below the fountain before returning to the main part ༺of the room and🅰 heading to the left.

Here, you'll see four buttons in an inaccessible area on the left, but take notice of the fan in the floor next to a narrow opening for your Disc. Pass the green button for now and throw your Disc into the opening. As long as you don't jump to catch it, it won't hit you in the lower area parallel to the fan, so drop into here, let the Disc bounce off the platform with the button, and hop back up.

While the Disc is inside the area with the buttons, turn on the fan to make the Disc steadily rise through this column, and it will bounce between the buttons in here. Make sure the Disc hits all four buttons so you can open the path in the top right corner, then head that way once it's open to find the left crank from the main room.

All pathways you've unlocked stay open once the yellow buttons have been hit, meani🅠ng you can quickly navigate back to the left and right cranks once the paths are unlocked, allowing for careful changes to yo🔯ur cranks.

Now, the goal is to fill the basin below the fountain with water. The formation we have in the image above was just enough to fill the basin with splashed water, which opens the path to the ladder in the lower part of this room.

Once you're satisfied, head on down this newly unlocked ladder, b🌟ut be prepared for your next mini-boss puzzle.

Use The Whale's Spray To Your Advantage

The Right Room

When you first drop into the room where you'll face the Whale in Animal Well, you're probably not expecting it. This is the Seahorse's domain, isn't it? Where the heck did this thing come from? Regardless of the questions, you'll still need to cross the room and solve the puzzle here ꧂before you ca🌳n move onto the showdown with the Seahorse.

Drop from the ladder onto the platform just below and take stock of the area. There are several platforms at various heights around the room, but the Whale is always aware of where you are as you navigate. Its shadow will always lurk beneath the surface of the water just below you, waiting to one-shot kill you by eating you should you get within range, forcing you to ꧂start from you🎃r last telephone save.

You'll notice that plenty of the platforms are covered with spikes, but you may have already encountered the solution to those elsewhere depending on how you're progressing through the game. Spikes like this can be broken with the Disc, allowing your blob safer passage.

In all, you'll need to get to the left side of the room, but doing so requires forging a safer path. From the platform below the ladder, drop onto the small platform on the lower right and quickly jump onto the outcropping of wall just next to it.

This puts you at the perfect height to throw your Disc so it bounces between the wall below the platform on the right wall and the spikes, breaking them and clearing th🗹e platforms 𝕴as it bounces.

Once the path is clear of spikes, you'll need to be quick as you jump to the lower platform by the water's surface and use the B. Wand to cross the low platforms, being extra care♋ful of the Whale following you and trying to eat you all the whil🍨e.

The Left Room

On the next screen, you'll see several more platforms, as well as a large structure in the middle that features four buttons, and a glass top platform. The left wall is slightly longer than the right wall, and🦩 there are two buttons on each of the walls leading up to the glass above.

You encountered a puzzle like this on the way here, though, so you'll know you need to find a way to get the Disc up into the inner part of the platform to hit the buttons. Correlating is a blocked path on the left.

Here, you need to be quick as you drop to the lowest platform on the right so you can break the spike that blocks the path to the left and then briefly retreat upwards to buy some time. As you move, though, you'll notice that the Whale sprays water vertically at you if you're on a higher platform where it can't reach you to eat you.

Once the Whale is back underwater, drop back to the lower platform on the right and throw the Disc at the left wall of the structure with the buttons, being sure to hop back up a platform before the Disc bounces back. This way, it hits the glass block on the ri⛦ght pla🐼tform near the water and bounces back toward the structure with the buttons.

With the Disc bouncing, jump back on top of the central structure and stand on the glass in the middle of the platform. The Whale can still see you through this floor and will spray its water at you accordingly. Stay here until the Disc is in the Whale's spray, which will force it up through the structure so the Disc will bounce, gain height, and hit the buttons.

The Seahorse Puzzle And The B. Flame

Just past the door you just unlocked is a second showdown with the Seahorse, but it's another fairly simple basin-filling puzzle again. There are three basins high on the pillars in the room, so like normal, adjust the cranks to move the platforms so you can lure the Seahorse to you and angle the spray so it gains height and fills all three basins.

Once the path on the right is unlocked when the basins are filled, head on through the new door and grab the B. Flame from the next room.
