Roland is one of the toughest boss encounters in the game. You must face him befꦚore getting your hands on the treasure. The boss fight arena is set on a pinball machine with circular shells so Krill can roll over him.
Roland Boss Location
Roland's boss fight is in "The Mouth of the Drain." You arrive here after Flotsam Vale, home of the gunk. You reach him after getting a battery by defeating Voltai, recharging the small boat, and arriving at Roland's big boat.

If Krill continues to strike the boss with light attacks for longer, Roland will use his cane to crush him. This attack is a three-hit over-head strike combo. If Krill is hit once, Roland will kill him at the end of the combo. Krill goes into squashed animation on any hit. Hence, if the first hit strikes you, you cannot move and dodge the rest of the strikes. |

Charged Punch |
Roland runs towards Krill with his body leaned backward, charging his three fists at the back. The boss lets go of the charge animation when he is near Krill, and getting hit by this attack drains Krill's health significantly. |

Alley-oop |
Roland stretches the cane using his right hand and tries to catch Krill with it. This attack is easy to spot as you get a red icon above Krill's head, and Roland also shouts, "Alley-oop." Roland will strike him with all three left-hand fists if the attack catches Krill. |

Rolling Ball |
When Roland's health drops 40 to 50 percent, he starts rolling on the floor. The trajectory is always linear, so you can avoid it easily. However, look for a blue icon over Krill's head. That indicates Roland is about to come crashing down on Krill's position. |

Roland's boss fight requires a defensive playstyle. This boss fight is different from any previous bosses you may have encountered up to this point. Bosses such as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Heikea Intimidation Crab, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pagurus the Ravenous, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Diseases Lichethrope require relying on dodge timing and striking back, but this changes w🦹hen you fac🥀e Roland.
You must level up Krill to the recommended stats. This gives you a fight🅷ing chance to soak up the dama🦄ge and deal more.
Roland's attacks are heavy, drain significant health per hit, and move faster than most bosses in the game. You will hardly get time to deal damage if you rely on dodge and attack strategy. The best way to defeat Roland is to parry, riposte his attacks, and break his stance.
You must unlock the Parry and Riposte skills as they are not learned by default.
All of Roland's attacks have very slow animations. You can easily predict each move, giving you a perfect opportunity to parry most of his attacks without trouble. For example, the charged cane attack takes nearly one second before it strikes Krill. During this time, you can continue pressing the block button, and as soon as Krill is about to get hit, release the button to parry it.
Block, parry, and riposte greatly increase the chances of breaking the boss's stance. The stance meter (yellow) is below the boss's health. Once the meter is full (visible by the flashing health bar), perform a riposte or strike Roland with an Adaptation move to break the stance, inc🐽apacita🦩ting him and making him vulnerable to taking more damage.
Royal Wave Level Three is by far the best Adaptation against Roland. It allows Krill to deal very high damage to the boss. We recommend you use this attack when the boss has been incapacitated after breaking the stance. This will give Krill enough time 😼to deplete a major portion of the boss's health.
You only need to watch for the Alley-oop aggro attack as it can not be parried. You can easily parry most of the boss's strikes except for the cane crush attack. Since this moveset involves a high risk of dying if Roland executes a full combo on Krill, it is best to dodge and run away instead of parrying it.
The four-hit cane combo attack is the easiest to parry. The first strike is swift, the two successive thrusts after that have a half-second animation delay, and the last hit is swift.
Learning about the boss's attack timings will allow you ꦓto be precise in parrying instead of guessing Roland's next🌳 move.
The cane swing hits hard and is difficult to block if hit by the first strike. With a slow animation, Roland swings the cane from the top of his head to his feet. Releasing the block button just when the swing is about to hit, you will parry the attack, and if you press the light attack button right after it, Krill will riposte.
The charged punch move has by far the slowest animation of all. Roland leans backward first and rushes towards Krill. He switches his stance from leaning to standing and strikes Krill when he gets very close. When this happens, you let go of the block button to parry the attack.
The Rolling Ball is another move that you should avoid parrying. The continued hits will break your shell and then hit Krill. The best course of action here would be to dodge either left or right from where Roland is approaching you.
Do not parry when you see the blue icon over Krill's head at the end of the Rolling Ball moveset. Roland come🌸s crashing at you, and this attack cannot be parried.
If you have been practicing parry and riposte skills before Roland's boss fight, you will not have a hard time beating it. If not, you must unlock these two skills and practice a little before attempting to beat Roland. This boss may seem harmless due to its slow attack animations, but he hits like a truck, and dying 💝frequently w🔯ill only add to the frustration.
