Another Titanfall Game Has Been Confirmed For This Year, But It Isn't Titanfall 3

So a new game is coming this year, despite Respawn producer Drew McCoy having announced that Titanfall 3 hasn't gone into development, following the release of free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends.

McCoy was being truthful. Titanfall 3 iꦺsn't over the horiz🍌on, but a new game is coming nonetheless, although it remains a bit of a mystery.

This has been confirmed by Respawn CEO Vince Zampella, who 🔯took to Twitter on Tuesday night to put himself on record with the "T-Word".

While Zampella did not go into details, EA CEO Andrew Wilson gave us a bit more to work with during the company's quarterly earnings call, revealing that a new "premium" Titanfall game will be launched in 2019.

"The Respawn team has a strong plan for Apex Legends that will engage fans for a long time to come," Wilson said (h/t . "As the live service evolves, Respawn also plans to launch a premium game this year 🃏that is a new twist on the Titanfall universe. More to come on that in the months ahead.

"I don't have more to share on the particulars of what would come in for Titanfall. What I would say is Respawn are a tremendously crea🌼tive team, they always anticipated that Apex Legends would be a spectacular game in the Battle Royale genre and that they would use that 𝔍as a ramp point to continue to innovate and deliver a truly creative take on what Titanfall is in a premium context later on the EA."

Apex Legends has left many gamers disappointed as certain classic Titanfall features were left out. Respawn has since informed that wall-running෴ and mechs just were🦄n't suitable for a battle royale format. The upcoming game - whatever it is - could see to it that said abilities are returned, however.

This upcoming title should be a full one but it's🌞 unli꧟kely that it will be free, given Wilson's branding it "premium."

While the wait for Titanfall 3 continues, Respawn seems to be looking to kꦦeep their fans satisfied and engaged. It's really the least they can do.
