The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Playoffs are returning this summer, and teams will be fighting over a million dollar prize pool in London once again. Whether you’re hoping that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:TSM goes back to back, new boys 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Northeption comes out on top, or just that Miron ‘Effect’ Novikov finally gets to play with his 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Alliance teammates on LAN, there’s a lot on the line.
However, this isn’t going to be like any other Apex LAN. This time, we’re going to have Evac Towers. The new equipment might not seem like a big change, but such a versatile tool can be exploited in the hands of pros, and international scrims are already showing unthinkable strategies using the🍌 mobile repositioning balloons.
This season’s second LAN is under a month away now, and that’s where we’ll get our first taste of Evac Towers in a truly competitive environment. Scrims are handy for pr𝔍actice, but as TSM’s coach ‘Raven’ previouﷺsly told TheGamer, there’s no point taking them too seriously. Teams sometimes use scrims to practise macro rotations or taking a specific teamfight in a contested drop – there’s nothing on the line, but the quality of competitors makes it a useful drill.
The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs will see Evac Towers get their first competitive use, as t𝔉eams fight for that one final spot at LAN. We’re going from low motivation scrims to the highest pressure stage of all. And you can’t even imagine what shenanigans the players are going to use these rapid balloons for.
In scrims, OpTic’s Mark ‘Dropped’ Thees led his trio up an Evac Tower, on💛ly to jump to a second tower conveniently placed a few metres in front. This way, OpTic climbed the first tower in cover, and teamꦍs barely had a chance to shoot them once they hit the second tower, where they actually wanted to rotate from. It was a clever play for a difficult rotation, and it worked well. When the stakes are higher and the chips are down, I fully expect teams to pull out even more outrageous strategies using the new tech.
Evac Towers won’t be the only change when the LAN comes arou🃏nd. The competition will be played on the July 20 patch, which heavily nerfs Seer, who was until now a mainstay in most teams thanks to his scanning abilities. Teams will need to quickly adapt their strategies around this, whether that be dropping Seer, dropping their Seer counter, or picking up Legends who may have been countered by Seer. I’m expecting more Bangalores in the l🌼obbies, maybe a Bloodhound or two as an alternative scanner, and even a marginal return towards the Gibby meta, as the defensive Legend’s usefulness skyrockets without Seer’s revive-cancel ability.
The R99 moving to the Crafter is also big news, as it’s comfortably the best SMG in the game at the moment. Teams will have to make do with the CAR and the Prowler, and don’t be surprised to see a co🅘uple of RE-45s dotted around, especially if players can reliably get their hands on those devastating Hammerpoint Rounds.
Th▨e Seer nerf is obviously the biggest change to competitive Apex in a long time, but I urge you not to sleep on the Evac Towers. Valkyrie has already been all but phased out by teams due to her rotational abilities being largely replaced by the survival item, but I’m certain we’re yet to see the wildest plays using the new balloons. If nothing else, we’ll see some teams come crashing and burning back down to earth if their plans go wrong and the whole lobby aims their iron sights at them in a final ✨circle Evac gambit. Someone will pull off something impressive, but the failures might be just as fun for the viewers.
