As 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Apex Legends Season 12 draws ever closer, players are eager to get their eyes on a set of patch notes or a glimpse at any 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:balance changes. Whether you want your main to be buffed or your worst enemy to be nerfed (mentioning no names, Valkyrie), or the Rampage to be removed completely, a new season is rife with op🦹portunity for changes t๊o happen.
One Legend, however, will not be receiving buffs, nerfs, or any changes whatsoever for the foreseeable future. In a press preview of Season 12, TheGamer and other outlets were invited to ask questions about the forthcoming season. One outlet (EA did not specify which asked each question) asked whether 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bangalore would be shown any love, as Wattson was shown last season and Crypto will be n♓ext.
John Larson, Respawn’s live balance designer for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Apex Legends, began by saying, “Oh good old Bangalore…” before explaining that she is, in his eyes, one ꦯof the most balanced Legends in the game.
“I personally view Bangalore as the watermark for where balance should be in Apex,” he said. “So to answer that question I would say that Bangalore still has a very solid kit for Apex - passive, tactical, and ultimate - and I’d rather we evaluate the cast of characters that play around her ༒[rather] than straight up buffing Bangalore because I think she’s a very solid Legend as is, and I don’t think we need to buff her, per se.”
Bangalore mains will likely be disappointed by this news, not least Shivam ‘ShivFPS’ Patel who even plays her in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:biggest ALGS tournaments. In recent months he’s made the meta move to Valkyrie, thanks to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:her meteoric rise to the top, so this news means it’s unlikel𝄹y we’ll see him back💫 on Bang any time soon - unless he’s stomping public lobbies, that is.
Is Bangalore’s kit actually that good, though? I don’t think anyone’s got complaints about her passive and tactical abilities, both of which are some of the strongest in ♛the game provided your opponent doesn’t have a Bloodhound or a Digital Threat. Increased speed when under fire is basically a free Octane stim when you need it most, and her smoke launc🔯hers can be used both offensively and defensively.
However, her ultimate is lacklustre at best. Rolling Thunder drops missiles onto your opponents which sounds incredibly strong, but in practice is considerably underpowered. The missiles do little damage and takꦅe so long to explode that opponents can get out of their way long before they land. It pales in comparison to Gibraltar’s Defensive Bombardment, and even Valkyrie’s tactical Missile Swarm is better thanks to its fast deploy, quick recharge, and long stun effect.
Perhaps Bangalore’s ultimate is paying the price for her other abilities being so good, but when Valk essentially has three passives in one as well as two of the best tactical and ultimate abilities around, it’s easy to feel 🌌shortchanged. Bangalore’s not a bad option, but she’s definitely not meta.
But that’s not all. Bangalore has barely changed since she launched with the game - yes there have been some subtle twe♛aks, but nothing along the lines of Wattson or Crypto - but the meta has shifted considerably. In Season 0, Bloodhound was the only character capable of scanning enemies through her smoke, whereas now there are a host of Legends who can do the same. In addition to Bloodhound, Seer, Valkyrie, and even Fuse all negate🅠 Bangalore’s Smoke Launchers now, and reveal anyone hiding to their whole squad.
If the meta shifts away from scans and wallhacks Bangalore will feel buffed as a result, but I can’t see that happening soon. I’m sorry to say this but for now, Bang𓂃alore mains, you’ll have to suck it up and try to enjoy being The Average Legend.
