Although Bloodhound was raised within their uncle Artur's tribe to observe "the old ways" in which they followed many Nordic principles (while also rejecting) the impacts of modern technology, they always had a strong overarching interest in technology wherever it aided the "hunt." That well-balanced interest in both eventually led to the Recon Legend leading the tribe to further greatness and becoming the multifaceted hunter they now are.
However, not all kills are equal in execution. After a difficult kill that Bloodhound deems unsavory due to his hunting partner's actions, they decide to leave the tribe to join the Apex Games and regain their honor for them, all the while fighting to retain the title of “master of the hunt.”

Originally known as the pesticide🌊 scientist Alexander Nox, the Defensive Legend Caustic is incredibly violent, methodical, and even scientific. Through the years Nox aided Humbert Labs until he takes a more villainous turn in an origin story similar to that of Mr. Freeze.
By the time Caustic entered the overtly competitive ring of the Apex Games, he had become so methodic💫al with his processes that he considered testing his pesticides on human subjects a necessary evil — one that he gladly observed in the name of science.
16 Crypto
"I always kill the messenger. It's safer that way."
Knowledge and secrets are everything to the Recon Legend Crypto (or, as he was originally known, Tae Joon Park). After being orphaned from a young age, Park was hired as a high-end engineer for the villainous Mercenary Syndicate. But after he comes across a dangerous algorithm, his foster sister vanishes while Park meanwhile is framed for her disappearance. He aggress⛦ively adapted to overcome this, changing both his face and identity. Thus Crypto was born.
This became even more vital when Crypto decided to enter the Apex Games, with his covert plan revolving around being hidden in plain sight while also searching for evidence to indict the Syndicate. Now Crypto is always on the defensive. He trusts no one in his quest for redemption♒ and vengeance.
15 Fuse
"Been puttin' the 'bomb' in bombastic since 2681!"
Walter Fitzroy is an Offensive Legend born on the incredibly dangerous planet Salvo in the year 2681. Over time, he made a name for himself by being a showman with a strong penchant for explosive♔s. Eventually, he made his way through a gauntlet of violent competitions, during which he became close friends with one Margaret Kohere — fans may know her as eventual Legend Mad Maggie.
Then when Fitzroy alone was invited to join the Apex Games, Maggie saw this as an utter betrayal of their homeworld. This in itself led to their falling out, in which Maggie blew off his arm (thus why ജhe has a robotic arm capable of shooting off massive projectiles), but it is something that Fuse eagerly looks to repay.
14 Gibraltar
"I'm here to watch your back, brudda."
It’s safe to say that throughout his life Makoa Gibraltar had seen enough death, which is completely understandable as he was raised by search and rescue professionals. One day, his father saved Makoa's life alongside his boyfriend – a debt he could never repay.
But as a Defensive Legend whose abilities are based around providing cover, he surely would try. This then became the catalyst for Defensive Legend Gibraltar’s entire life work as he enlisted in t🌃he Apex Games when too many of his friends who enlisted never returned🥃 home.
13 Horizon
"I survived being swallowed by the dark heart of the universe, so you lot seem a wee bit quaint to me"
At one time, Horizon was a 37-year-old scientist hired to find a solution to the age-old energy crisis. Eventually, she did discover one within a bla💮𝓀ck hole at the edge of the universe. However, she was backstabbed by her assistant.
But instead of exacerbating the situation, Somers was ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚable to reverse engineer an escape plan, the only caveat being that given relativity of time in deep space – when she returned, she was technically 84 years old. Upon her return, she 💛took the moniker Horizon and joined the Apex Games as an Offensive Legend and a very different person.

Although Ajay Che is one of the youngest Legends, sheಞ strongly believes that someone as spry as her can make a difference. But being the daughter of war profiteers left her fervently wanting to try to leave the world better than she found it.
Building off of that, Che eventually joined the Frontier Corps - a publicly funded U.N. type of organization - which she then tried to raise money for by joining the Apex Games.
