In a mock interview about his upcoming induction into the Legends category, Forge is giving a speech about how no one will see him coming when the rug gets pulled out from underneath us. A mysterious figure dressed in a red cloak approaches fromﷺ behind and stabs Forge through the back.
What this all means is that Respawn Entertainment pulled a fast one on us. In this modern era of data mining and leaks happening from the most innocuous of places, Respawn planted fake data to throw players off the trail. Forge may eventually wind up in Apex, but he's definitely not going to be seen soon.
News of Forge broke last week when Respawn held a Livestream to talk details of Season Four. Apex Legends has done incredibly well for the company and the team isn't stopping with updates for the game. There were some curious hints about another hero, but everything was pointing to F𒀰orge being the next inductee.
As for this new character, this is probably the rumored robot "Revenant." Their appearance was that of a metal ninja, so they could end up sharing some abilities with Wraith. She is known for her cloaking powers and speed and this new character might be a counter to her skills. It would certainly create a new dynamic for Apex, which d෴oesn't currently have a ton of support cha💝racters.
We mostly have speculation to go off of, but this sort of twist reveal is pretty neat. 𓆏The element of surprise has been all but lost in the digital age. That Respawn was able to keep this under wraps desꦰpite hints from data miners is really cool.
As for when we'll see Revenant in Apex, Forge's announced date of February 4 is the most like༒ly. That will be the beginning of Season Four and it wouldn't make sense to add the character earlier. Then again, anything could happen at this point. Respawn has proved it is the master of shock reveals.
