Apex Legends Global Series has shifted its Apex Legends tournament to a purely online format and adde🦹d three events to its schedule. The changes were implemented as the world goes into lockdown to help manage the coronavirus pandemic. ALGS has also postponed its Bucharest event, Premier Event #2, until further notice.
The move to host th🐬e tournament online is part of ALGS’ ‘Stay and Play’ initiative, a campaign set up to ai🅘d the pandemic efforts across the globe.✅ ALGS have also added more coverage of their events so that fans can watch with friends online,🐭 and still enjoy the sport together. The famous Bat𒆙tꦕle Royale game is focussed on keeping people together through the online play.
The tournaments added to the schedule are all accessible from home. All player🏅s need to do is register. Online Tournament #4 took place on April 18th and 20th, and Online Tournament #5 opens for registration today at 10:00 AM PDT. Players can register to take part . The competition will take place on May 2nd and 3rd. Online Tournament #6 opens for registrat🦹ion on May 19th, and the tournament takes place on May 30th and 31st. to watch the live streams of both the EU and NA𓆉 finals of each Online Tournament via Youtube or Twitch.
Apex Legends is offering cash prizes for the winning teams of𝓡 each Online Tournament. For ranking in first place, winners of the EU and NA tournaments will win $7200 per team. Second and third places will win💛 $4410 and $2790, respectively. There are cash prizes for placing anywhere from 1st to 10th, with 10th place awarding $590 per team.
The new online tournament system is a massive boon to players and fans on lockdown. The addition of online broadcasting, with the abilit🌳y to watch with friends, is an excellent addition to the game.
