The world of Apex Legends feels authentic and natural. Each character has a richly woven backstory that's interesting but has an aura of mystery to it. Respawn also use themed events to em𒁃phasize the traits of their new legends.

Many other games are fun and entertaining, but the lore feels convoluted and/or sometimes too obvious. They sometimes fail at worldbuilding because they don't have a long term plan and vision. This results in messy timelines and story changes. Others overstuff their games with too many similar characters and it's hard to distinguish who is who, let alone care. By taking thꦆeir time to define each character and giving them time to shine before promoting the next, Respawn ensure that we are never drowning in information.

will be arriving in Season 5, yet her planning and backstory go all the way back to the Season 4 release. The Season 4 trailer introduced Revenant by showing him assassinating a conman and his entourage, leaving a little girl as the lone survivor. That girl grew up to become Loba, a master thief. At the time, nobody knew that the girl would growꦜ up to be the next legend in the game.

When they revealed her for Season 5, everyone was alr𒉰eady aware of her tragic past and knew that she'd be out for revenge. It also made sense that she became a thief because she took after her father. To commemorate her introduction to the new PvE game mode, players will help Loba on a quest for a mysterious artifact that could unlock some secrets. The new game mode keeps the game fresh, and also keeps players interested.  More importantly, it builds Loba's unique identity. Everyone already knows that she loves t♐o hunt down rare items of value. Now they are eager to find out more about the secrets of the artifact she is obsessed with.

Since the release of Apex Legends, Respawn has kept feeding us crumbs about the different characters. They've also introduced new map locations corresponding to characters' traits. In the past, we got to "start the party" at the Mirage Voyage, and compete in Bloodhound's trials. Despite getting into Season 5, we are still waiting to find out more about some of the legends. Respawn will undoubtedly have something interesting in tಌhe pipeline to expand on their lore.
