All the signs are pointing to one addition to Apex Legends: Mad Maggie. Whether that ends up being her in-game name or not, Fuse’s ex-girlfriend could hit Season 12 with a bang - in alꦿl the right ways.
First of all, and this is the most important thing, none of her kit from Fuse’s lore trailer suggests that she’d have anything by the way of wallhacks. She also doesn’t have a jetpack as far as we can tell - Valkyrie’s meteoric rise to ꧋power in Apꦇex Legends esports probably won’t be rep🤪licated by Mad Maggie, and the fewer characters that have cheats𒆙 enabled, the better. I still cringe when Seer stops my animation mid-heal and appears behind me (without audio) because he knows exactly where I am.
That’s not to say she’ll be useless. Fuse has his own niche fans at the highest level of the ga🃏me, and his explosive attributes are a particular set of skills that can be utilised in clever, if not subtle, ways. From the one trailer where we saw her as a side character (or co-protagonist, depending on who you ask) Maggie looks like she’ll have a similaඣr kit to Fuse. She doesn’t have the metal arm and therefore is sans grenade-flinger, but she did fall to her doom, so there’s plenty of room for prosthetics or robotic modifications.
It&rs🐭quo;s worth reminding you that this is all co🌊njecture at this point, and Maggie hasn’t been confirmed as the Season 12 Legend at the time of writing. However, numerous leaks point to her arrival, and we never saw her body after her untimely ‘death’ in the Season 8 comic - which is basically series-speak for ‘she’s definitely still alive’ with a big old wink-wink, nudge-nudge from our friend Fuse.
Maggie’s a controversial character, but most of the hate that comes her way is due to her role as the annou♕ncer in the Chaos Theory and ill-fated War Games events. Don’t get me wrong - she was incredibly annoying here. But she had a fraction of the number of voice lines regular Legends do, and that was why they got so grating. Anyone who wanted to play even a few rounds during the event was faced with the same few quips repeated time after time. However, this wouldn’t be a problem if she was a fully-incorporated Legend, as she’d have a full complement of conversations to join you on your exploits in the Apex Games. As much as I hated her previous role, I think some love/hate banter between Fuse’s dulcet Aussie tone and her Kiwi/Aussie combo could provide some welcome light relief after your eighth third party.
This brings me onto the final reason that Mad Maggie would be a great addition to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Apex Legends roster: it would involve the lore in the games again. I’ve talked about this before, but the interweaving of lore and gameplay hasn’t been the same since Loba and Revenant fꦦought their way through the game. Think about Seer or Fuse - they barely interact with other characters i🐠n meaningful ways, and certainly not due to anything in their background. Adding Maggie as a foil for Fuse would bring the stories of tﷺhe Titanfall universe back to the centre of the game, playing out as you try to become Champion every game.
May🐭be it wouldn’t work out like that, maybe it would be relegated to a POI of a destroyed spaceship and a YouTube short like poor Bangalore. But the potential is there. Rumours of the first live event to hit Apex Legends only increase my excitement, and Maggie’s in-game reveal could usher in a new era of Apex Legends lore being presented at the front and centre of the game we all play. I’m imagining the Horizon tasks on a much bigger scale; everyone gathering to watch as Mad Maggie’s new spaceship lands on the mountains of Storm Point or gets struck by lightning as she passes by the Storm Catcher.
Mad Maggie represents a crossroads for Respawn and EA, and which way her inevitable reveal goes will show us the future of Apex Legends. We could get a lore-heavy live event that goes down in the game’s history, with repercussions that span the entire next season, or we could get a handful of repetitive voice lines and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:another expensive skin. I just hope it’s the former.
