One thing to note is that while the event runs for the full three weeks, the exclusive mode the update will bring (outlined below) will only be available for the game's final week - October 26 through November 2.
9 The Update Will Add A New Arenas Map 🙈
On the less spooky side of things, the update adding the Halloween event will also bring a new permanent map to the Arenas mode. Called Encore, the map is set on Seer's homeworld of Boreas, and features the club-cum-battleground where he rose to fame. It has high ground to fight over, long sightlines for snipers, and flanks for playing strategically.
The challenges the event includes will likely involve some for Arenas, so the new map will make an interesting setting while you're grinding those challenge points.
8 The Halloween Event Will Includ𒁏e A✱ Free Rewards Track
As is customary for Apex Events, along with the cosmetics that require Apex Coins or Crafting Metals, there will be a track of completely free rewards that require only challenge completion to earn. The challenges will likely be the standard fare: achieving kills, outliving players, and d🤡ealing꧃ damage in both Battle Royale and Arenas modes.
The rewards include numerous Holosprays, Apex Packs, Banner Trackers for the event's Legendary skins, and a Loba skin. As in other events, Battle Pass stars will also be available, making this a great opportun💃ity to level up those finalꦫ tiers.
7 There Will Also Be🌳 A 🌌Dia De Los Muertos Skin
As well as the Halloween cosmetics, a Day-of-the-Dead-inspired Octane skin will be available during the event's final week, October 26 through No♌vember 2. Featuring bright colors and detailed patterns, the Epic skin will be called "Muerte Rápida" and be available alongside a related banner frame and Volt skin.
Loba, Gibraltar, and Bangalore's skins on the theme of Dia de Los Muertos will also be returning, along with an associated gun and banner cosmetics, and all items will also be available in one bundl🍒e along with 15 Apex Packs.
6 The Halloween Gamemode Shadow Royale Is Returning 💮
One of the most popular limited-time modes in all of Apex, Shadow Royale will be making a return during Monsters Within's final week.👍 The mode plays like normal Batt🍌le Royale, but upon dying, players turn into an undead "Shadow-Form" of their legend, gaining infinite respawns and being tasked with helping their living teammates win.
Shadows also gain extra movement capabilities from Titanfall - wall-running and double-jumping, making them not only very strong but incredibly fun to play. A team is eliminated when they have no living players left, however, so it's important to keep at least one player alive.
5 🍎 Shadow Royale Takes Place On An Alternate Version Of Kings Canyon
As in previous years, the Halloween LTM will occur on a Halloween Kings Canyon map, featuring a night-time setting, poorer visibility to allow Shadow-Forms to hide, and more darkness and fog for general spookiness. 3 Monsters Within Will Be A New "Thematic Event" 𒈔 🐼
Collection Events such as Season 10's Evolution or Season 8's Chaos Theory typically bring a set of themed cosmetics to the game alongside special game modes, a Town Takeover, and a Legend Heirloom. Monsters Within, however - like the Old Ways, New Dawn "Apex Chronicles" event earlier in Season 10 - will be a new type of event.
The Halloween event will take the form of a "Thematic Event", adding a set of related skins and LTM like a collection event, but lacking the Heirloom or Town Takeover that usually accompanies the latter.
2 The Halloween Event Will Add New And Re🍷tur🐼ning Halloween Skins To Apex
The Monsters Within Thematic Event will bring a total of 40 cosmetic items to Apex, including Legend skins, banner cosmetics, emotes, and more. There will be eight total Legend skins, with four of 🔴those being of Legendary rarity:
- A vampire skin for Seer (Out for Blood)
- A mad scientist skin for Caustic (Synthesis Chamber)
- A werewolf skin for Revenant (Necro Nightmare)
- A robot skin for Bloodhound (Hunter Within)
Valkyrie, Wraith, Gibraltar, and Horizon will receive the four epic skins, and the event will also add a variety of other cosmetics, with the four Legendary character skins getting matching Legendary weapon skins. All of these items can be either crafted wit🦹h Metals or obtained from Event Thematic Packs at 400 Apex Coins each.
What's more, popular Halloween skins from previous years are also making a comeback - scarecrow Bloodhound (Wicked Harvest), witch Wraith (Emerald Enchantress), and clown Caustic (Sweet Dreams) will all return to the regular Store, among others.
1 The Monsters Within 🅷Skins Will Remain Available After The Event Ends
Something else seemingly setting Thematic Events apart from Collection Events is that the Halloween skins will remain available after the Halloween event ends, as will all the other cosmetics intr൲oduced with the Monsters Within Event.
During the event and afterward, all skins will be available to craft from the skins page for the relevant Legend or gun, just like any other base-game cosmetic. Even better, Respawn has indicated that the crafting price may decrease after two seasons. This is great news for players, and it means if you don't have enough Crafting Metals or Apex Coins during the event, there's no need to worry - the Halloween skins aren't going anywhere.
