The rare occasion I can tear my friends away from the disa▨ster that is Warzone, we all perform better. I know their strategies, I understand our synergies. We communicate better, and we win more. My K/D goesဣ from a mediocre 1.5 to an accomplished 2.5 or 3. Now think about playing solo, with random teammates yelling slurs in different languages and Leroy Jenkinsing towards the horizon, and playing against these organised squads. That’s where the skill disparity lies.
Despite all this, I’m enjoying my solo trek up the ranks this season. I’m still partnered with players around my skill level, I still hot-drop and lose 50RP some matches and clutch out ten-kill wins in others. But I have those little targets to aim for in every 🐈match I play, and get those little bursts of serotonin when I drop a 200-point match. The Volt’s back as ground loot this season, too, and I’ve embraced my favourite SMG like a long lost friend as it tears flesh to ribbons🃏 in my hands. I’m back into Apex Legends ranked, baby, and not even a three-stack of Apex Predators is going to stop me from having fun.
