Apple AirTags have been announced, expanding the Find My network beyond just Apple products. With the AirTag, you can keep track of your keys, wallet, and anything else you regularly lose. Here's everything you need to know about Apple AirTags.
What Are Apple AirTags?
Apple AirTags are small, coin-shaped trackers that you can attach to everyday items. Then, the item will be visible on the Find My app, allowing you to see where it is.
If the item is lost nearby and you can't discern its location using the Find My app, you can simply ping the AirTag using the app, or by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:asking Siri. The AirTag will then make a noise with its built-in speaker, s♈o you can just follow the sound to find what you are looking for.
AirTags can be customized with engraved letters or emojis on the device. You can also get keyrings that the AirTag fits into so that you can attach it to larger items, like your purse and backpack.
What Is Precision Finding?
Precision Finding is a special feature that allows AirTags to guide you directly to the item. Normally, the AirTag would have a marker on a map which you access through th✱e Find Mꩲy app.
Precision Finding uses your camera, accelerometer and gyroscope to show you exactly where your lost item is, even if it is less than a foot away. This makes the tracking even m♛ore accurate, so you'🌠ll never need to look all over the house for your keys again.
What Devices Are The AirTags Compatible With?
The AirTags are compatible with every iPhone device from the iPhone 6s onwards, including the full iPhone SE range. They are also compatible with the iPod Touch 7th generation, which released in 2019. These devices must be on iOS 14.5 or later to connect with AirTags.
AirTags are also compatible with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:iPads running on iPadOS 14.5 or later.
The Precis♚ion Finding꧟ feature is only compatible with the following devices:
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini

Do AirTags Need Charging?
AirTags do have a battery, but according to Apple, it will last for more than a year before it needs replacing. Fortunately, when your AirTag does run out of charge, your phone will let you know. Then, you can simply swap the battery out by taking off the removable cover.
When Do Apple AirTags Release?
AirTags are available to order from April 23rd, 2021. They release on April 30th, available at all Apple stores and 𒐪select carriers.
